Hey all!
A little belated Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys...  we were down in VA at my sisters for the Holiday.  Stopped at Pine Grove KOA on the way down at the restaurant, and had snow the rest of the way down.  Had a great time down there and a wonderful trip back.

We'll probably head to Pine Grove in Feb / March depending how the winter is.

Miss you all!

Let's see, it is Sunday, the only way I knew it was Thanksgiving was that I recieved 2 e-cards...

Baked the turkey today...we had new floors (pergo) put in supposedly on Monday. Shannon, my 26 year old, on Saturday decided that if I was going to paint the paneling (again), he wanted to see what waws under it, lordy lordy, a mess we called his friend on Sunday (home improvements pro), this was almost like a comedy skit, and I still have not started laughing...everybody else thinks it is funny, especially at work where I asked for 3 more days off this week to finish the house...

We got the walls partially primed on Sunday, the gloor men came in on Monday, laid 3 rows and quit, our floors look like a roller coaster and that could not be seen under the carpet.

I ran out and got 12 sheets on strand board, they used one peice to shim the other sheets...it took 2 days to lay about 600 square feet. Oh yes, about the time I got back with the wood, it started to rain, I had put up plastic over the doors and kept the spackling dust down to a minimum. But the saw dust, 2 days of it...well, I ahve been cleaning up saw dust.
I got the cabinets wiped out and the dishes/glasses back in, Raymond went rooting for food and drink and left the cabinet doors open...then he decided to pull down the ceiling tiles in the kitchen...yep, the dirt dust and mystery grit came falling onto my new floor (that I had just mopped), and into the cleaned cabinets I flipped... He ran out the door.

I have been working on the kitchen and breakfast nook today...the living room is a lost cause, Raymond started one project, sees something else that needs to be done and goes out and gets more junk leaving the other lay.

I bought a mitersaw, a real one, NOT one of those yellow boxs, the new window trim looks great, the same as the base boards...I got a 4' utility cabinet to day, sat it on the counter (with help of course)< OH yes, I had to move these 3 cabinets back into the kitchen WITHOUT ascratching the floor...then put the counter abck on and put the pantry cabinet on top and secure it to the stove cabinet...I also put together my new table and chairs, and painted the entry into the kitchen and the coat closet door...baked the turkey, made dinner AND went to the grocery...what did Raymond and Jeffrey do???Raymond slept, Jeffrey dissappeared (nothing new that is their Modis Operendi (sp??))...

Thankgiving dinner was at a local diner with Shannon and his girlfriend, Raymond, well he decided he needed a nap...Jeffrey was actually home, he was "sick"...

Hope everyone elses holiday was less hecktic and more organized, I am now going to sit in my "electric chair" (shiatsu message chair) because I deserve it!!! I ache all ever, even my toes hurt...BUT I only broke 2 nails!!!

Wow Paula you have been busy.  Did you take any pictures?  All I did was bake a cherry pie and take it to my Mom's home.:)

Tracy, no pictures yet, I am waiting for the end result.  I order a corner cabinet off e-bay, the dealer is in Lititiz, so I arranged pick up, well it is still in the minivan..., but the 5x7 rug is in the breakfast nook with the new table and chairs on it...the living room has plastic, paper and cardboard all over it and as soon as I think it can come up, Raymond gets out the spackling to spackle something else, then that has to be painted...the furniture is still in the dining room which is in the addition, which did not get new floors.

I knew I should have gone to greenbelt np again this year...but NOOOOOOO, I had to start a home improvement project...and to add insult to injury, when I take off 3 more days this week, Raymond is going to take off again too...totally defeating the purpose of what I wanted, the house to my self so I could clean top to bottom with no interuptions and no one in the way...he just does not get it.
