We are looking forward to camping next month.  I think the Vail Lake Halloween rally is my favorite.  I went to Walmart today to pickup a few things to dress up our trailer/tent.  I enjoy seeing the kids in their costumes and love going trick or treating with fellow campers.  Our only problem is that we don't know if we'll be camping in a tent or our trailer.  We'll be tenting on the off chance our trailer sells, we aren't counting on it.  Either way, all is well.......

All good things must come to an end.  This campout is officially "full."  Upon receipt of checks from Kevin Rhoades and the Leffingwells (currently en route), I will be paying our contract in full.  Once done, empty sites will be released to the public and you may be able to reserve them on your own if you are reading this and still want to attend.  

I can no longer accept any payments.  Our official deadline to pay in full is upon me.

Stay tune for the finalized itinerary and head count...it will be posted for all to see by the first week in Oct.  

Main events will be:
Site decorating
Kids' craft
Kids' costume contest/prize exchange
Trick or treating
Saturday AM and PM potlucks

Just picked up the stuff for the kids craft. We are doing trick or treat bags. I bought 50 medium papern bags with handles in orange, tan, and black. Also bought 2 large tubs of foam shapes (Halloween theme) and foam stencils along with the washable paint that they can stencil on their bags. A few more items   and we're set. Can't wait til October!!

Be forewarned....this campground has been known to charge a fee for early arrivals.  I've read bad reviews about this in the past.  I think it's like $10 or something.  You might want to call ahead.  (But don't let it stop you!:sombraro: )
