Wow!  That Steelers/Colts game yesterday was one of the best I've seen.  I couldn't believe all that happened in the last 5 minutes of that game.  So may shifts and changes.  Fortunes seemed to change by the second.  Have never seen anything quite like that before.  Congratulations Steelers!

So, was that an interception???  What a ridiculous call!  I was cheering for the Steelers yesterday.  ANYONE BUT THE COLTS.

The entire world knows that was an interception...except one guy.  There were a couple pass interference calls that were pretty poor, also.  I know it's a tough job, but c'mon.  I would really like to see a Steelers/Patriots rematch, but that's not to be.

Even the NFL is owning up to that bad call today...

Quote"Mike Pereira, the NFL's vice president of officiating, said in a statement that referee Pete Morelli was mistaken when he overturned an interception by Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu upon television video replay review.

Pereira said Morelli made an error in judgement by reversing the ruling on the field with 5:26 remaining in the fourth quarter"

I saw that, Marcy.  But, had the Colts somehow won the game would the NFL ever have admitted that the refs blew it?  I think not.  I hope the officiating improves somewhat next week-end.

It would not be possible to admit it.  If the Colts won, and it was deemed an interception after the fact, how would you be able to determine the outcome?

It's probably a mistake for the NFL to admit even at this point, at the very least it's moot.  All games have to defer to the decision on the field, like it or not.  The good call/bad call decision and subsequent discipline should probably be best handled internally in an attempt to improve officiating in future games.  In the end, I guess, we're all human and subject to mistakes.  We should all hope to not make any big ones on national TV.

Or while driving 75 MPH...or performing open heart surgery...or while landing a jumbo jet...

The difference is, nobody ever really died from embarrasment (see Sunday's Opus comic for context).

Uh, no........Arizona has a football team called the Cardinals.

I think they have the same chance of winning the Super Bowl as last year.

I know the Arizona football team is the Cardinals (hows that for grammar?).  And knew they must be in your neck of the woods.  Just trying to figure out which Cardinals you were talking about.  Know the St. Louis team will be more of a contender than the Arizona team.  Me...I'm a Pirates fan in the summer.  It's great.  I can get tickets to any game I want to see.  Must be kinda like Arizona (Cardinals).  Go Diamondbacks!?!?
