Thanks Tracy...

BTW, after looking forward to being a grandfather, I found out tonight that I will be a grandfather.  Now,

I'm too young to be a grandfather.

And just to add insult to injury, it means I'm going to be married to a grandmother...If I'm too young to be a Grampa, PJay is way too young to be a Grandma.

Goodness, this baby could be born on their first anniversary...I'm still not used to having a married daughter.

BTW, the pill does not work for wives of marines stationed at Camp Lejune...she's the third in their group to become pregnant while using the pill.

Almost seems like it...It's actually been almost 4 months...at least PJay and I waited nine months to have an "accident" ;).

We survived, and I know they will too.

Mike said "I didn't do it...oh, wait a minute...yes, I did!"

Congrats!  In a few years you can teach this new little one all the joys of camping.

How well I know the feeling. I was a grandfather at 38 :yikes:  and now I have a 19 year-old granddaughter. :eyecrazy:  When she turns up pregnant, I'm just going to dis-own her :p .

Thanks.  That's the plan...We were at the Min. sportsman's show looking at campers yesterday looking at campers.  How many grandchildren it would sleep was high on my mind, but I did not expect the call we got tonight.

CONGRATS AB!!!!!!!!!!!! You are not too young to be a grandfather, I have been one for over 5 years now. My oldest son will be 27 this year.

I too was born in 1960 but I got an early start with kids.
I have 3 grandchildren so far and they are great.
We love to spoil them rotten and send them home afterwards.:D

We get our grand daughter for about 6-8 weeks every summer and don't get a chance to see her until the next summer (lives in Ft Worth, TX).

Congratulations AB!!!  Enjoy being a grandpa.  I'm old enough, should be, wanna be, but not, and won't be for probably quite some time to come.
Enjoy!!!!

Wow.  Makes me feel... weird.  Or, at the very least, living in incredibly slow-motion.

(36, 18-month old first daughter).

Great line! I'll have to remember that one....someday.

You guys are talking about how young you were when you became grandparents. My mom and dad are still waiting...ages 60 and 62 respectively. I'm 33, and my sis is 37. Somebody better get moving!  :D

My older brother is 8 years older than me.  His first child was born when he was 43, his second at 47.  My first grandchild will be when I'm 46...so you are in between us.  Maybe you get the best of both worlds?

AB, my brother is 4 yrs older than I. He is still waiting but he borrows my grandkids :p

You being a GP is the reward for all of the things that you did right in life and your kids punishment for all that they did wrong. That's an important thing to remember. It carries certain responsibilities.......like......spoiling the GKs and bringing them home :p . Someday (when he/she is about 13) you may be rewarded with those immortal words (screamed at your daughter), "I wanta go live with Grandpa". Not that your daughter did anything wrong. Just that you did everything right..................Oh, the satisfaction of being a GP :D . The best part is, your daughter has to explain why that can't happen. All you have to do is act all dissappointed and say, "Your parrents know what's best".

I love it when Lori calls me on the phone and says, "Dad, Leanna is going through this phase and it's driving me nuts. What do I do". I just smile adoringly and reassure her that, "This too shall pass :) ". All the time thinking, "Gotcha :D ".

Ya, AB, you're going to love being a grandpa. Congradulations for sure......You have arrived. It's not at all about being older. It's all about "PAYBACK" :-()  :#  :!

BTW, we are expecting GC #13 in June. I got to be in on the delivery of the last 2. I hope I can be in on this one too :D . I sure do recommend it. It's a thrill that you (and your daughter) will never forget and it will make the father/daughter bond even closer.
