Hello guys, Since my spring seems to be messed up with my daughters dance club, I am trying to plan things in the fall.  I know we are planning on meeting everyone in September, I didn't know if anyone typically plans something for October.  If anyone typically plans something, please let me know so that I don't do something at the same time.  Thanks.

I camp on Columbus day weekend.  It is a 3 day weekend for me and our school district is closes for that day too.  What do you want to plan?;)

copcarguy

dademt - like Tracy said - what sounds good to you??

Usually I like to close down North Lake the end of October.  There are a few brave souls among us that venture up there that time of year.

dademt

Not a problem, would be glad to actually contribute.  As for North Lake, that sounds great.  I am sure I will like it and we don't mind the cold.  In fact last year our first trial with the popup was in the driveway in the teens and a stiff wind.

Hey!  Can't ya all make a trip that everyone can go on?  North South Lake is more than 5 hours from me.  You guys are doing that in the spring, that I can't go on, so don't do it in the fall, that I can't go on.  I am whining aren't I?

You can go, if you really want to.  I will not be going to NL in October for closing weekend.  I have to have Friday off so that we can leave as soon as school gets out to make the park before the check in curfew.

I plan on camping Columbus day weekend (3 day weekend for us), if anyone else wants to go somewhere, um Beckie?

Rick what happened to you coming to RB Winter SP, PA sometime?   I thought you were going to come here last year.  In May it will be my 4th trip to the NL opener.

Ok, my fault.  Should have looked at the calendar first.  Closing weekend in North South is the 22nd.  Columbus weekend is 2 weeks before.  RB Winter would be about a 5-6 hour drive for me so I would have to do that on a holiday weekend.  Maybe I can still do both.  Go out with a bang.  Let me talk it over with the boss ( yes, everyone together... smart husband ).  Then maybe I can host RB and let Rick keep NorthSouth.  Give me a day or so.

Scott don't feel that you have to plan a trip to RB Winter.  It is my home park/campground and Rick has been promising to camp there, BUT they don't have pet campsites so he never comes there.:)

Scott I am camping at RB Winter for Memorial Day weekend if you would like to join me that weekend.  I will probably camp there for Labor Day weekend too.:)

Well, I think we will try to do both places in October.  Since I know nothing about RB winter and I will have gone to North South this spring, I would like to host North South if that is alright with you Rick.  Let me know.

Scott I checked to see what sites are left for Memorial Day weekend.  There aren't any electric sites.  I am on site 18 which is a dry site and my favorite site in the park.  I would recommend site 21 which is Y shaped and pretty good size.  It is across the road from my site and not too far from the bathroom.  Site 26 is also a nice big site but further from the bathroom.  Site 57 is another big site and it is closer to the lake (you can't see the lake from the site though).  It is further from the campground bathroom, but not too far from one of the park bathrooms.  I am not sure if they lock the park bathrooms at night or not.  The park is in the woods, has a great modern bathroom with a family access bathroom that I love for the kids.  Let me know if you have any questions.:)

Thanks about Memorial day but I think that one will still be out with the kids activities.  I was actually planning on meeting you guys in October on Columbus day weekend.  Then two weeks later going back up to North South Lake.  May cost my wife her job but we are getting tired of working our family trips around her work schedule anyways.  Well getting back to Columbus day, let me know when you guys figure out what days / sites and we will book then.  Thanks.

Sorry I misunderstood.  I haven't decided where I am going to camp on Columbus Day weekend.:)

No problem, I usually don't know what I am doing so don't worry.;)   Well, I will keep that weekend open in case you do something that we can go to.  Either way, I would like to host the fall trip to North South if Rick doesn't mind.

Hey since that is MY birthday weekend and Beckie REALLY NEEDS to camp in Delaware, how about it????

Killens Pond is OK, sites are not as big as Trapps Pond that one is sort of a drive, but the closest, Lums pond only has about 3 electric sites...there are other comercial ones, but there again, they are all below the canal...actually in Kent and Sussex county...there are some around Lewis, and Rehoboth, and Cape Henlopen SP has no electric, but does offer hot showers and most sites have water, but that is WAY WAY down there...does offer a fishing pier and some sort of marine center, as well as the Rehobeth Outlets, a Walmart, Kmart, AND the Cape May Lewis Ferry at the Park entrance...they have walk ons and information about the Cape May stuff...I really like that for relaxing and usually see dolphins at least once while crossing.

Killens has the Harrington Raceway, which has slots for the adults...Milford has a Bonanza, Bigg Lotts and a Super Walmart...Harringotn has a Food Lion.

trapps has a Hardees and a truckstop that the food is OK (the local camp host eats at the truck stop side), the other amenities are a little further up or down US 13...
