Leaving bedding in bunk ends?

We're picking up a new 2006 Niagra next weekend. I was wondering how many leave their bedding on the bunks when popping down. We used to do that on our older Starcraft PU, but unless everything was perfectly flat, the top wouldn't latch down.

Living in BC we usually have had rain when we have camped so with water lurking we just don't.  Everything has to be put up again to dry when we get home.  At least most camping trips.

We use a king size Coleman air-bed on top of our regular bunk mattress (we love it). When we pop-down, we leave all of the bedding, including the air-bed (deflated, of course) on the bunk.

Having said that, we also keep our PU stored in the garage . I'm not sure that I would do that if I stored the PU outside :confused: .

When making a long distant trip where there will be a night or two layover enroute, that's what I'll do. Also, when getting to a usual fishing area where it might be neceasary to move to another C/G, the bedding remains on the bunks.  My present Starcraft, as well as the previous Coleman, it was/is necesary to keep the bedding flat in order to close up.

We often pre-make the beds at the house before leaving, but only with the fitted sheet and flat sheet. Top won't close (probably) with the blanket. I say "probably" because it is a tight fit putting the top down anyway.

We leave the bedding on the beds, unless we are going to wash it.  With my replacement roof I can't leave the comforters on the beds, but the rest of the bedding stays in place.

We leave sheets and sleeping bags on the beds and close down without a problem. We don't leave pillows in the camper - kids like them in the car. I take the linens inside during the winter and change the sheets every other trip or so, since they rarely get used (only if it's really hot, then I replace them each trip).

We leave the bedding on; pull the sheets about every other trip to wash them.  We have no problem getting the roof down, even with comforters on the bed.  (I did pull all the linens out after our last trip of the season).

We leave the bedding on the bunk ends and have no problem latching the roof. The "bedding" includes the original mattress, a 1.75" memory foam mattress topper, and the Slumber Pak sleeping bags from Fleetwood.

With our Mesa we have plenty of room to leave the bedding on.  There are the mattresses, heated mattress covers, 1.5 inch memory foam, fitted and flat sheets, a comforter and it is all covered before shutting down with a plastic fitted mattress cover to keep it dry in case of rain.  Top closes fine with all that.
