CWB/Larry, Great to hear from you. I always knew you were a lurker! :yikes:

OC Campers/Jacqui, OK, I won't ask and thanks for the tip. I have already discuss this with Sal. I want to use the stuff that looks silver on the outside where people can't look in but we can see out. As for Sal's computer, It's not really up an running, he's using the lap top. The mother boards he ordered just came so he might get his computers working soon. Although, since we will have to look for a truck, this might hold him up for a few weeks. Time will tell.

JOAN, TMI. Just kidding. That's great that Sal has lost weight also. I like the new rig. In a couple of years we'll be thinking of full-timing it. We're doing the research now. My production manager is stepping down and he and his wife have agreed to a 2 year trial of fulltiming. The sold their house for good money so that's not an issue. They have a 5th also. They belong to an organization out of Texas- www.escapees.com.

Quote from: Civil_War_BuffCongrats Sal and Joan on your new acquisition!! Looks very nice. Sal, I always though you were a GM kind of guy.......was I wrong??? ;-0

Joan, to parrot what you have already heard, "you look marvelous"!

Take care.
"I said at this point I would take what ever I could find."

What Joan did not know was I had already been to the dealership and already checked out what they all had. I have been having them hold one for me for the past 3 months with a small deposit until I could get Joan to go with me.
I had them check the rates with our other credit union so she would see that it was cheaper. I had arranged for an extended service contract, that covers the drive-train and the exterior for full repairs for six years. This actually lowered the payments for the life of the loan. Now we will just shop for some cheaper insurance to cover all the cars and trailers until I sell the pop-up.

Great to see you back in posting mode. ;-)
Now that we have something to haul a rig without breaking down we will have to come see you and show them both off.

Congratulations, Joan! (And Sal, too, although your weight loss plan doesn't sound too attractive. :)) As a cardiology nurse practitioner, I have recommended gastric bypass many many times, and I like to see people succeed.

Nice fiver too!

Congratulations on

1. The new 5th wheel.
2. The new Joan.
3. The new Ford 250.

Plenty of changes at teh Lutz household!!
Joan still needs to change her signature lines. ;)

Can't wait to go camping with you and check them all 3 of them out. The fiver sure looks nice, with plenty of room, which only means you can pack even more stuff!!

Hi Everyone;

Just wanted to let you know the pics from the walk-through are up on my photo page.
This will give a better idea of the living space inside the new rig.

Took the truck to my son's shop today to give him an idea of what to order for it.

Hey all, my turn to chime in.....

Yes, it was a very busy weekend. It was quite a surprise when Sal told me he had placed the new to us truck on hold for 3 months until after my surgery! I told him not to do that again, I didn't like it! :yikes:

Sal mentioned my BMW was still not fixed. Here is a bit of background on that comment.... My son (Dan) is a BMW Master Technician and the deal I made with him when I purchased the 1991 BMW (because he didn't like working on my Honda) was that he would do all the work needed on it. Well, we had planned for him to take the car a week ago because last week was the week that my carpool friend would drive so he would have a week to work on it. Well, just before we dropped it off the belt that turns the alternator, air conditioning, etc. started slipping and making noise. Saturday he told us that the cover that holds the belt in place was broken and he had to order the part and it wouldn't be in until Tuesday. So, my carpool friend is driving again this week. Dan said after that part comes in he will have to check the other parts that were affected by the belt not turning (the alternator wasn't charging) to make sure they are still OK. Imagine what it would cost me if he was charging me his shop rates!!!!! :eyecrazy:

As for my signature block, I just tried to copy and paste it in and it didn't work so Sal will have to do it after I log off from here when I'm done posting.

Well, I need to get busy so will talk to you all soon.
