Bear Creek vs. RVWorkshop

Hey all,

I priced Bear Creek and RVW for new canvas for my older Coleman. Bear Creek was $775.00 and RVW $955.00 I chose RVW because I thought I had color choices, (Thier website was not particuliarly friendly). I received an email stating their order computer was glitching and they needed some info re-sent. They also had my order listed for a totally different camper!! I understand those things happen but it does not give me the warm fuzzies! Today I got receipt that everything was corrected but, I did not have color choices! They said it would be taupe with Moonglo vinyl (what the heck color is Moonglo). I requested they either price match Bear Creek and send me pics of what it would look like or cancel my order. Not trying to sway anyone's decision but I'm frustrated right now, to say the least.

Anyone else had troubles like this?

I don't blame you for being worried.  Bear Creek has a good reputation.  I have never heard of RVW.  I think if it was me I would cancel and give Bear Creek or  RV Canvas Replacements a call.

Sorry, I abbreviated. RVW=RVWorkshop.  The more I think about it, the more upset I get.  This has all transpired via email with the last being my question of price match or cancel to RVW.  I did not hear back from them today. So, yet another day passes on top of the 4-6 week shipment period.  Maybe I'll be camping by Fall?

Update:  Went ahead with the order.  They advised me it would be an exact copy of my old canvas, which the colors are fine on.  Didn't get a price match but, I don't want to wait any longer for the canvas.  They did advise me that I would get a 5 year warranty from Fleetwood, so that's good news.  I don't remember reading that anywhere on the website either, maybe my fault.  If I need a replacement in the future, I may try Bear Creek for the price. Either way, I've heard nothing but good reviews from both companies.  More to follow.

Anyway, I just received word from RVWorkshop that they were glad I went ahead with the order because it's already being shipped!!  WOW talk about turn around time!  I guess Fleetwood had an extra one for my model on hand.  I'm very pleased with outcome to say the least.

Did they tell you when you should receive it?  If it is from Fleetwood I would think it would be an exact copy.

Yes It will be an exact copy.  they did not tell me when to expect it, only that Fleetwood had shipped it.  Although I have not received an email with a tracking #.  I may not get one though.
