Want to share with you a potential problem with the latch handle on the screendoor. The plastic latch part of the handle that moves in and out to latch the door broke on my unit. Went to dealer to purchase a new one ($17.00) The parts guy told me that he sells a lot of these replacement handles. He said the latch breaks from the door slamming shut. So be for warned !!
Now I am thinking of buying some 1/4" window strip insulation and apply it  in small segments around the door frame to help absorb the impact from the door closing to fast. Does anyone have a better thought on fixing this little problem. and before you say it !!! Doors slam at times, especially with kids around.

I had a similar problem on the Cape Cod, but instead of buying a replacement from the dealer, I went to the local "super hardware store", and got one that fit.

BTW, the plastic latch didn't break on ours, the handle on the outside of the door did.

Seems to me that unless you use a pneumatic door closing cylinder on the door, it's gonna slam shut.
Kids or not, it's gonna slam.

Good Luck.

I had the same problem, broken handle....I went to the hardware store, and bought a latch, and reused some parts from the old one.....works ok....and as it turns out, the kids are better able to open the door themselves....the one on there before was a little tricky for them.

Camping Crazy Charlene Welcome to PUT!

The door handles are a very common item to break on a Fleetwood PU (along with drawer sides).  The best bet is to buy one at a hardware store.  The Fleetwood handles and are over priced and poor quality.:)

Ours broke.

I replaced it with a "standard screen door" latch from Home Depot.  Took a few moments to slightly modify the latch plate location, but no big deal.

Used a latch like this:

Never broke again, and everyone could open it much easier.  We HATED the Coleman latch...
