Trying to buy a couple of tires for my Niagara (ST185/80D13)
on the side wall it says "1660  lbs at 65 psi, Load rating D"
After reading good reviews on JCWhitney (Duro) tires I found my size on their web site,  $62 ea. with free shipping.
Their tires are Load rating D. After calling their customer service they couldn't tell me the pound weight rating on their tires. All I could find out is their tires are rated at 60 psi instead of my 65.
I have to have close to the 1660 lb load rating as my pup weighs 2700 lbs empty.
Do all load rated "D" tires have the same pound load rating? Does anyone know the pound rating on the Duro tire?

Note that the D inside the number means a bias ply tire and not the load rating.

Buzz I purchased new Duro tire/wheel combos from JC Whitney this winter in the size you are looking for and they were the 65 psi/1660 pound tires.  After the cost of having tires mounted the last time I replaced them I went with the new comb.  They aren't that much more than the cost of tires and mounting.  I also had a code for 15% off.  I did a search on line and tried about 20 codes until I found a 15% one that was good.:)

Doc..I find the mounted wheel and tire assy at Whitney but they don't tell me the size and load rating of the tire in that assy.

Do you still have the cat number of what your ordered?

Thanks Buzz

Here is what I ordered http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ItemBrowse/c-10101/s-10101/p-100000275135/mediaCode-ZX/appId-100000275135/Pr-p_CATENTRY_ID:100000275135

It says B load range, but I called and they confirmed that they were D load range (the previous page says D) and the 1660 weight. I did not opt for the faster shipping and just did regular shipping and had them in 3 days. They are 5 lug wheels.:)

Doc...thanks for all your help.
I find coupons for 15% off a $200 order...2 of these is $.02 cents short.
I guess I'll add a case of CampaChem for $9...need it anyway.
They are also offering free shipping on orders over $75, hope its good with the discount too.
I'm guessing your Nevada lug bolt spacing is the same as my Niagara
