I took the maiden voyage this past weekend and it was WONDERFUL!! DH was supposed to get off of work at 5pm, but he needed to work a few more hours so my DS and I hitched up the camper and were on our way. I have never driven while towing a trailer, but this one is so light I barely noticed it was there (had to keep checking the mirrors, lol). We stayed Saturday night at Wildwood Campground (on 130) and we had such a good time! All of the men around the campsite were asking me if I needed help, but I managed all by myself! I even managed to get it hitched back up on Sunday morning!! (I needed help from my neighbor to get it hitched on Saturday). Even though it was COLD Saturday night, the little heater I brought along kept the camper nice and toasty. I have all of our gear stowed in the camper for the season, and my husband can't wait to go out with us this coming weekend (weather permitting). It is so nice knowing that all I have to do is throw some clothes in a duffle bag and go!! We had such an enjoyable experience, I'm tempted to go ahead and reserve every weekend this summer!! We already have reservations for Memorial Day at Wildwood, so if anyone else is going to be there, come look for the "tent on a box", lol. You CAN'T miss us!!

Nice looking campground and the rates are in line with others near Lynchburg.

Would you recommend some sites to look at?

I'm looking for some cg's to visit in June. This may be one of them.
 Thanks,

I'm glad that you finally got to go! The first trip is always so fun! Wildwood Campground looks nice. Maybe we'll try to check it out sometime over the summer. Did your DH ever get to join you for the trip? Mine showed up for day 2, then ran a fever all night. Turns out he had strep throat. Then the four year old got it. I'm surprised we all didn't get it, being cooped up in that camper all night with him!_______________

We have a site along the bank of the lake for Memorial Day, but we stayed in site #2 this past weekend. All of the sites in that area (#2) are really nice, and I would probably recomend those over the ones around the lake...although there were several PUP's around the lake, but mostly tent campers.
