Goose Point Park is located on Philpott Lake and we just returned from a terrific stay from the 5th through the 12th.

Got to meet TonyM who stopped by for a visit -  Hey Tony, bring the gear and crew next time... sorry you couldn't stay longer.

We are home this coming week and then back for another week at GP.  I did manage to post a few photos but have not gone back and put captions with them.  I have a few more to add also.

 Enjoy:
  Camping at Goose Point

Yes we had wind, we had rain, we had cold, and we had warm sunny days. But we were camping and loved every minute.

I must say GP is everything written...but no-one should go there...leave room for me...

The only thing I didnt see there was a play ground for kids..I am sure there is one but didnt see it.

If you mean swings, slides, and things for kids to climb on then you are out of luck.  GP does not have any play areas for children.

However, as the water and weather gets warmer, GP does have a sandy beach and swim area.

Thanks for the pics...I think I will have to add this to our "places to go" this season!

I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

We will be there again this Sunday thru the end of the week, again in Loop C but a different site.

From what I have seen on the reservation site, it is difficult to get a reservation for the weekend, especially during the summer months.  After talking with some others I met there last week, it seems that a lot of folks book 240 days in advance.

I booked these 2 weeks this past January.  I hope you get the opportunity to visit GP, perhaps we will run into you there.
