Having a preemie, Wow! Mom, far away from home, Wow!
Having kidney problems, Wow!
I've known families that dealt with each of those as single problems. This is certainly a time for you to save your
strength and spirit for those days that you're going to need it.

Prayers...

Like others have said, if there is anything I can do, let me know!
If taking your kids to JPL for a tour will take their minds off the ordeal, or they can help me watch my kids camp for a distraction,
just let me know.

Oen is making progress..he's now 3 lbs 12 oz. still on CPAP..he doesn't need the oxygen as much as he needs the pressure to fully inflate the lungs for the latest and greatest and pics to you can go to;

Ah Dee!  I finally made it to Oen's Page.  What great pics!  It's incredible to see him grow and change - Laura looks amazing as well!  What great news about him being 4 lbs.!  It will be so rewarding for them to make it home and all be together again!

just got back from seeing the little man he's such a cutie pie

he is off the CPAP entirely now and looks like he may go home as early as a week from now

Laura has gotten special permission to have Kevin & Kara go see him. they will have to and go in with a special  counselor.  Laura & I both agreed they need to do the whole dress up with masks & gloves. This way they can see him while Laura holds him and not in the isolette, I would also feel better as there are other babies in there too.  better safe than sorry.

starting in Oct. he will be receiving a special shot once a month thru April to help him fight off the chances of getting RSV. he is VERY high risk and won't be leaving the house much his first year.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.. soon I will have an Oen album on my webshots

Oen had his first real tub bath last night is is heading back to Seattle on Monday!!!!! We are so happy with the progress he's made. He will be 2 months on the 19th (his DUE date wasn't 'til Aug. 10th) On Monday he, his mom and a team of nurses and a Dr. will be transporting him to a level II NICU in Seattle where he may stay about another month. He still is feeding by a tube and is on a nasal cannula. So that is the goal in seattle is for him not to need either of these and then he can go home to his own bed. We are so happy for them but our own selfish needs makes us sad, as we will miss them so much. we go see them today for the last real visit and maybe tomorrw before I take John to the airport. He wants to be in Seattle when they get there. Dan & I a hoping we get to hold him, just for a moment, as we haven't even held him yet.
