I'll have to remember that at the rally.  I'll sit on the other side of the campfire.

I use a large laundry bag.  I put the clean clothes in it to get to the camper, empty them into the appropriate bin or drawer, then put the laundry bag into a compartment in the camper that held the sleeping bags when the PU was closed.  Out of sight, contained & ready to go.

I bring 4 large tupperware containers which go in the TV on the way -
2 have clothing - one my husband and I, the other our 3 kids.

We are a family of five so we make a lot of clothes. I love these hotter months, the boys just were trunks all day long!

One tupperware has pantry items, which get unloaded into the dinette seat and become our first laundry container.

The 4th is a catch all container - I just place whatever in there...towels sometimes, blankets sometimes, jackets in the winter... and it also becomes a container for the porch area.

So I've unpacked - now I have two empty containers I place outside the door and stack them under our awning or AAR, one starts the old laundry, the other misc. items we keep outside, helmets, life jackets, RC cars, etc.

We usually only fill one while camping, then during pack up all the other laundry - towels, sweatshirts, jackets get put in there.  I love it...good system for us.

My family of four usually does the "stuff everything dirty in the big old dufflebag 'till be get back home" trick!

However, last year, during an extended vacation to the Grand Canyon and surroundings, my clever DW discovered something!  She found out that the KOA in Flagstaff where we were staying at actually had, gasp, a laundry room!  For a measly few quarters she was able to cleans and refresh the putrid stuff in the dufflebag, BEFORE, we made it back home!  Just wierd, I know, but I had to share. :p

DW generally made use of the campground laundrlymat.  She said it gave her peace and quiet for an hour or so away from us.
:)

She also enjoyed talking to the other people in the laundry room and very often she would find out some interesting things to do in the area.

Someone once told me that you could get by wearing the same underwear for 4 days.

Never did try it but it could save on laundry. :)

When I was a child, my family camped at the same private campground every year. All of the campers around us were the same each year since you could reserve the same spot year after year. Anyway, (this is where I respond to the topic :p ) one year my parents took us kids to an amusement park for the day. When we were gone our fellow campers saw some trash bags under our camper as the garbage truck was coming down the lane. The ever so helpful neighbors took the trash to the "curb" for us so we would not have to deal with the trash for the other days we were there. When we came back from the amusement park we found that all of our dirty clothes (8 days worth for 5 people) was on its way to the landfill. My mom still talks about the year that all of my brother's underwear was thrown away.

The dangers of using a garbage bag for the laundry.
Didn't someone once post here that as they were packing up, they removed all the curtains from their popup, and put them in a garbage bag to take home and clean, but the DH only saw a black garbage bag, anf threy it in the dumpster at the campground!!

We always use a pillow case for the dirty laundry, and ususlly as we are packing up, we need to break out the second pillowcase. Never had a problem mistaking the dirty laundry for garbage.
