Anyone have wiring schematic for this pop up? I can't get lights to run off battery (fully charged).  Lights work when connected to 110 AC.  Lights work when Bargman trailer harness connected (no 110 AC and battery disconnected where it enters frame).  When I connect only battery...nothing.  I able to get volt reader prongs on blk/white wires just after the front end battery connect but before covered wires go into frame and have full power (connector is working).  When I check wires coming into converter as well as connector on right rear side I have no power.  I lose power somewhere along the wires that are hidden in the frame.
Any quick help is much appreciated...trying to head out for Memorial day camp.

Interesting........that seams to be a fairly common problem around here lately. There have been a few people that have had to replace the wire going from the battery to the converter. I'm sure that one or more of them will post to this thread soon.

I wish that I could help you with the diagram but I can't. It seems that it shouldn't be to hard too follow the the wire. If it goes up in the frame, you may just have to cut it at the converter, tape the new wire to the old one and pull the new wire through as you pull the old wire out.

Thanks...I've tried to follow the wire.  It appears to enter frame at the front, run the length of the pop up, come up thru the floorboard just before the rear bed, run back toward front under a metal guard (going under  the slide out), then finally arrive at converter under benchseat in front of front bed.
If I'm right I can't see pulling new wire through that maze.

I've seen some earlier posts about checking grounds (on the way to the converter) which I plan to do tomorrow.  However if that was problem would power get to converter connecter from trailer harness?

That sounds a little weird to me :eyecrazy:

I would think that the wires would go directly to the controller. Maybe each company does it differently but what you are describing sure doesn't sound logical to me :(

I agree.  I'm probably missing something but I see no other wires going to the converter other then the 110 AC.
I'm also confused about why I have power/voltage at converter connection when using trailer harness but nothing with battery.  I have little knowledge with electric circuitry.

When you plug your trailer in, there is a separate 12v wire that comes back to the converter.

You say that you are heading out to go camping. If you are dry camping and worse comes to worse, you might want to make up a jumper wire to plug into your trailer harness from your PU battery (Positive side only). If you do that, you might want to put a fuse at the battery end of the jumper, just to be safe :D .

BTW, if that doesn't work, you know that you have a bad ground.

Where are you going camping?

rar-9592     You could go to popupportal.com and check under owners manuals at the top of the home page, then click on Fleetwood. There is a owners manual for 2001 Fleetwood trailers which may have a wiring diagram you could use.

I have an adaptor that converts 7 way to 4 way.  Could I use this with the battery connect at front of trailer, using only the pin for black/positive wire?  Why only the positive side?  I'm not sure how I'd put a fuse at the battery end.

Camping on the Shenandoah, Bentonville.

Thank you.  Sent for and received owners manual from Fleetwood. No wiring diagram.

You can buy in-line fuses at any auto parts store (preferably 30 amp). First, take the fuse out of the the in-line fuse block. Put one end of the fuse directly to the battery terminal. Just put the bare wire between the pos battery cable and the battery and tighten the screw down on it. Next, wire your jumper wire to the other end of the in-line fuse and tape it up with electrical tape. Run that wire to adapter. After everything is wired up, put the fuse back in the in-line fuse block. If the fuse blows, no harm, no fowl, you've just done something wrong. Be sure to get an extra fuse or 2. You can always take them back for a refund, if you don't open the pack.

That should work if the ground is OK, from the battery to the trailer. If the ground from the battery to the trailer is bad it won't work and you will then know that your problem is a bad ground. That would mean that you would also have to run a wire from the neg side of the battery to the camper frame somewhere. No fuse necessary.
