cleaning cushions

Bought a used camper, couple of the cushions have stains. Covers are removeable but how do you clean these? Would love to toss them in the washing mashine on cold/gentle but they have a vinyl cover on the back and cloth on front. Don't want to damage the vinyle. How do you wash these to get out stains?

There was just a thread on this very subject a couple weeks ago.  Do a search on cleaning cushions or similar.  If I get a chance, sometime later, I'll do some research on it myself.
