I have a little shelf over my galley that is great for putting stuff on.  Do they make those for the bunk ends?  And has anyone made a set?  I tried to search the forum, but didn't come up with anything.  It would be a great place for the keys, cell phone, little clock, etc.....

thanks

Fleetwood does make one and yes people have made their own.  The Fleetwood shelf consist of the shelf with a pin coming out of each end of the shelf (on the side of the shelf that will be toward the tenting on the end of the bunk).  You drill two holes in the bunkend metal frame.  One hole on each side for the pin on the end of the shelf to go in.  So at this point you have a shelf hanging down from the 2 pins that are in the bunkend metal frame.  Next you get 2 short pieces of wire, chain, etc and attach it to the front end edges of the shelf.  The chains are what hold the shelf level.  Screw the chains into the bunkend metal frame above where the shelf is attached, so that the shelf is level.  I hope you understand what I just typed.

FYI:  With my replacement roof I had to remove my Fleetwood shelf.  When the PU was popped down the shelf would lay under the entrance door in the ceiling.  The door handle would come down into the shelf and couldn't sink into the mattress.  The handle broke and put a groove in the ceiling of the PU.:)

Tracy, did you buy the shelves from fleetwood, or make them yourself.  If you aren't using them and still have them, any chance of me buying them and getting them shipped to NC?

another very simple mod for bunk end shelves, is to use the plastic shower caddies. you just hang it from the shepherd poles.

It is a Fleetwood shelf and I only have one shelf, it was on my front bunk.  Let me think about selling it.  I will be camping the 15th to the 19th and then the 22 to the 25th.  Drop me an email around the 25th to remind me.  I know that I will forget.  Where in NC are you?  My father lives in Eden and will be visiting in a few weeks.:)

Ironicly, about that same time we will be camping in PA (Hershey, Seasame Place, etc).....small world.

Any picture of the Fleetwood shelf?  Curious how it looks and whether something like that can fit in my 2000 Fleetwood Seapin

Welcome to PUT!  I am sure that it would fit in your 2000 Sea Pine.  They fit all of the Coleman/Fleetwood trailers that are 77 inches wide.  I don't think I have any pictures of my shelf, but they do show it as an option in some of the brochures.:)

If anyone is near an IKEA store they have these shelves that tie and velcro on to poles etc different sizes and shapes and a wide arange of colors. they fold completely flat and take up no space. The next time I go there I will buy some.
