Can someone help me find the correct adaptor to go from a 7 pin round (03 chevy pu) to my Jayco 8 pin rectangle. Everyone I talked to said they have never seen an 8 pin.

Can't help you with a 8 pin connector. but have you thought about replacing your 8 pin with a 7 pin on your PU. 7 pin is the going standard and if you upgraded your connector, you would be able to connect to different TV's if you needed to. just a thought  ;)

My Jayco has a six pin rectangle.

Does yours look like this:

Its hard to tell from that small picture, I have a picture but don't know how to
post it. It has 7 male pins and one female socket.

The simplest way is to cut off one end of the 8 pin pigtail and wire on a standard 7-pin round.  I am not sure what the 8th wire is for, but your owners manual should tell you.  It is probably just another auxilary feed.

Maybe a picture ...

If you click on the picture it gets bigger.

Mine is 6 because it doesn't have brakes.  Wonder what the 8th wire is for.  Third brake light perhaps?  Anyway, I've looked through my 700 page rv supplies catalog and can find nothing else like that.  You're sure it's not 6?  I know, you learned how to count a long time ago.   :p

Maybe a call to Jayco would help?  1-800-RV-JAYCO

This is close, looks reversed.  ETS is one of the largest connector manufacturers -

Contact Peco Campers in Stone Mountain Georgia. http://www.pecocamping.com/
They have what you're looking for.  I was in there after buying my 1993 Jayco 1406, which has the same connection on the coupler.  It had a 4 pin connector going to the tv, and I was looking for the 7 pin adapter to connect to my truck.  While looking at their wall o' stuff, I noticed they had connectors made for each year, which connects to the port on your hitch, and then goes to a 7 pin for your tv.  Call them and tell them the year of your trailer and they can probably get it to you.  I can't remember, but I don't think it cost very much.  Let us know how you do.

Very nice!  Do you have  a battery connected to your converter?  Ours does not, but the converter can be connected to one.  Could you tell me how your battery connects to the TV and the converter?
Thanks!
steve
Have you called Peco yet?

I have an 8-pin on my Starcraft. I made a cable that converts from 7-pin (truck side) to 8-pin (camper side). If you woul like the pin-outs, I can email them to you. Let me know. My email in in my profile here.
