Well if you are going to Watkins Glen this weekend I will see you there.  If not, I hope to see you in a couple of weeks at Hickory Hills.  :)

DiW

I'll be there around dinnertime tomorrow - Got home too late from Riverdance to pack so will do that when Kels gets home from school (1/2 day)...

Paula, I'll be without a car this weekend so please let me know if you're doing a Walmart run. I may beg to tag along...

Jazman, are you still coming? Haven't heard anything from you in awhile. I can't wait to see your new camper. Missed the show at Otter Lake.

tlhdoc

Hi Di, I was wondering where you were.  Now I will not worry about you.  Jazman and order 191 are both here.  They came earlier in the week.  :)

I must've missed the discussion about this trip... I wish I knew about it - I would've come! I have absolutely nothing planned for this weekend and would've enjoyed this... I hope you all have fun! Miss you guys...

http://www.arveeclub.com/forumdisplay.php?f=77  Hickory Hills is the 2006 Eastern PU Rally.  You were told about this, but didn't want to pick your vacation for this week.

This was a PUX trip.  There was information posted about it on the COTOC site and at PUX.

You should come on more of the group trips.:)

copcarguy

Thanks Tracy - makes sense now.  I thought it was a trip just for last weekend...  I wish I could change my vacation picks, but we pick our days off and vacation in October of the prior year.

I wish I could do more group trips!  I guess Feb @ Pine Grove, April for your B-Day, May @ NL, and July in DE are all I could make so far...  :(
I really only check for trips here - are there other places I should be looking?  You mentioned PUX and the COTOC site...

Adam

Tracy,

Thanks so much for the extra set of eyes and the help getting my Fema box in my site, I think I managed it in two shots not that bad.

Di,

I can't thank you enough for saving us from the nasty class c couple  :) it was also good to see you again.

Jazman,

Wow it's not everyday you get to help someone with their x#%! I'm happy we got to hang-out, and thanks for bringing the Black & Tan.

Order191,

Thanks for lending your mobile # for my inbound calls from my DW.

It seems I need to make a CATOC ;)  opps I mean COTOC event in the near future, we are camping @ Twin Grove the weekend of 10/13/2006 any takers  :) yes Lisa will be present  :D

The Gathering @ the Glen was just a weekend trip, but some people come early or stay longer.   If you click the link to the COTOC list of trips (right here at PUT) the Glen trip was listed there, even though it isn't a COTOC trip.  The Eastern Rally is listed there too, again it isn't a COTOC trip, but COTOC people go on both trips.

The Eastern Rally is a week long trip and I think the dates were picked before you picked your vacation last year.  I remember telling you about the trip, but you didn't want to take vacation that week.:)

The weekend went OK after we got Jeffrey squared away...calls calls calls...

Raymond learned just how yucky the Jayco is to set up and take down that he agreed to get something light I can pull with the minivan!!!

Here is what we/I pick up Friday, will have to take the truck as the Windstar is not yet set up with a brake controler and 7 pin elelctric connection, they want $135 just to install the prodigy and $125 for the sway contoller (we have the sway bar, may need the little ball for the trailer, but they have that)...no telling how much they would want to install the 7 pin...or is it 6 pin? anyway I can get that done locally, not sure if I can get it done before the rally.

Wow Paula, you sure are quick. Good luck with the new rig. Are you selling/trading in the hybrid? What happens with the popup? Thanks for the ride to Walmart.

Well, Sunday turned into a nice day. Kels & I walked the gorge with John and Erica. Lots more water than last trip. Sunday night we met our new neighbors, made a fire, & planned to go visit the PUX group. But rain began and fell through the night and much of Monday. Tracy, our tarp kept us nice and dry throughout - although I had to make some adjustments at 6am (heavy runoff made a large pool a little too close to the tent so I sent the drainoff down by the tree). Had the tent packed away and everything ready to go when Courtney arrived about 4:30. Just had to pack the car, close up the EZUp and take down the tarp. Of course, as luck would have it, the rain intensified at that point and we got wet and yucky. Quick showers and we were on our way, arriving home around 10pm. What a nice trip. Thanks Tracy for letting us share your site. It was lonely after you left. Kelsey said she wished Jon was still there.

RIck, wish you were along. I think you and Steph would like the gorge (pool is nice too). Met a bunch of great people and one wacky couple who tried to spoil the party (but didn't succeed). Met the man (not part of our group) who was camping directly across from the party site and he said he'd like to reserve the same site next year. He really enjoyed the group and would like to do it all again. RIck, maybe you can make next year's gathering.

Adam, thanks for the cheatsheet (PUX listing). MAYBE I'll be able to remember a few names. At least I was able to recognize a few faces this yr. I had a good time meeting everyone. PUX members were very welcoming. I especially enjoyed the camper tours. Some fancy rigs compared to my tent, haha - but we all had fun regardless of what we were camping in...I"ll checkout the dates you told me about.

SheBantam

Glad you got back safely, well glad that Courtney made it back to the campground safely. Too bad you got wet.

Raymond just realized that this is not a popup...it is a teeny TT with an 11'box. has the wetbath like the Bantam, they call it self contained but says nothing about gray water, so I assume the gray water is also the black water, comes with AC, not sure about heat but one of my little ceramic heaters will do the trick and they thing I am most excited about: the I Love Lucy beds, no more climbing over each other.

Windstar will be set up with brake controler (NOT going with the prodigy since the trailer is so light, did not need trailer brake one with the Jayco either way to NY and this is lighter than the Jayco.

Looks like I need a new name...cabinqueen???

Raymond may turn the Jayco into a utility trailer, he wants to sell it for $500, as I RotFLM...

The Bantam I think will eventually be sold, but I am in no hurry. I do love it, but it is so heavy and with the price of gas, well we/I have been camping less.

 ???
Paula it looks like the toilet is a cassette toilet with the shower.  I am guessing that you have to connect a grey water tank to the outside of the camper and that the black water tank is a cassette.  The AC unit is like a small home window AC.  I doubt that it has heat.  Good luck getting the new trailer.  Many be the dealer will take the Jayco in trade.:)

Di I felt bad leaving you guys there.  It is always enjoyable to have my "sister" camp with us.  We stopped at Fry's Turkey Ranch for dinner on the way home.  We weren't disappointed.

We hit rain not too far from the campground after we towed around the track at Watkins Glen speedway.  There were only 4 of us that towed our PUs around the track.  The rest of the group just drove their TVs and didn't tow.  They took the 4 of us towing around separate.  I had the PU going 65 on parts of the track, I think that was faster than we went last year when we took the Explorer by itself.
DS is at Boy Scout camp and I am guessing that he is wet.  The old canvas tents are not is good shape and with all of the rain we have been getting I know it is bad. :(  We will go up Wednesday night for parents night and I am camping there Friday night.

I can't wait for Hickory Hills so that we can have a longer trip with time for me to take a nap.:D
