Got it!  That is 6 or 7 sites down!  They did say that we could obviously go over 10 sites, if there was room....and at this point in the game, there is!  

BTW, Kristi--I watched that episode of RV Road Trip as well.  I had been planning to get the info on Newport Dunes' Easter Eggstravanganza all along...but, watching that, kicked me in the butt.

I'd be up for it, I think, so pencil me in for now.  Just checked my vacation schedule, and I'm out early on the 6th, and off the week of the 9th.  Might consider staying until Monday.  It might be fun to find a sunrise Easter service on the beach, for those who are inclined ...

There are a slug of big churches down there (St. Andrew's Presbyterian, for example), so someone's got to have something.  I'll check it out as it gets closer.

P.S. I haven't been to LA (except Magic Mountain) since Spring Break 1987, when 6 of us drove out from Colorado in a conversion van (wall-to-wall ugly shag rug carpeting, 4 swivel captain's chairs, a double bed and a fridge) and camped on the beach in SD and LA...

yes we would like too. stay til Monday..they only way I see sunrise is if I haven't gone to bed yet :eyecrazy:

you should be able too easily...My dad's church in San Clemente does it every Sunday




Lisa ask them what their group cancellation policy is:  maybe you can book 20 and give up any unused sites by a certain date w/o penalty

Please put us down as "interested".  I still need to see the boys schedules for school.  I do believe they don't have that week off.  You know, nowadays the forbidden word "Easter" is not allowed in school and they do not coincide Easter with spring break.  Not here anyway.:mad:

Gotcha all.  

We were already planning on going to a service, it's just a given.  Our church is right in Laguna Hills (Laguna Woods Calvary)...but, Laura is right, there are lots of churches there!  Calvary Chapel does a to-do at Irvine Meadows, sunrise style.  So, there should be no worries on that one.  Closer to the date....all the churches will be advertising their services, so I will obtain that.  You are all more than welcome to hit our church!  Small and casual.

The contract to me is already in the mail.  Once I get it, Dee....I will call and ask about 20 sites.  I do know he said no problem at this point in the game to adding on.  

Bran and I looked at our schedule....and have decided to go down on Friday, the 6th....and stay until that Monday, could be talked into Tuesday.  

I was already planning on the girls putting their Easter baskets out in the camper on Sat. night. The Easter Bunny would be putting a few little prizes in it during the night.  Then, I was thinking we could have our own (Sccampers) Easter Egg Hunt around our campground area in the morning.  The Fish Squad could help the Easter Bunny hide the eggs!  Again, way early in the game!  More later!

Oh, so everyone HAS to stay until Monday!  We have to have a huge party for Dan on Sunday night!!  Maybe that should be the night I ask for us to use the banquet room!  What do you think, Dee?  Should I try?

We would be 3 nights - Friday to Monday.  The Browens would be Frid - Mon. too  (they may have to leave Sun....but it's way too early to tell)
