Easter 2007

Ok now that I have got all the food for Dan's B-day party. I KNOW I will be needing some help.

I'm saying this out loud so someone (like Freedom 5 ) will have my back and let me know what I'm missing

Brian has offered to be grillmaster...Rest up Brian... I have 26.5 LBS of carrrrrne asada. :yikes:

I have also purchased the yummy uncooked tortillas. I know Brian has some tortilla pans and offered to do those too but with all that meat to BBq he may need help.

I'm putting everything in throw away silver trays except the refried beans I'll do in the crockpot and the pinto beans I'll have to do in a regular pot since I have only one crock pot. Rice will be made just needs heating
I have  fresh tomatoes , cilantro and onions will need to be chopped. I cheated and got the bagged shredded lettuce and shredded cabbage, & cheese

Brandon is making Salsa and the Browen family is bringing chips and some Salsa

I also have sour cream and guacamole


Brian & Kristi are getting the cake at Costco for me

am I forgetting something??

Sounds great!!!  I know Bran is making the salsa there...but he can probably help Brian out with some of the cooking.

I went out to Sonshine and bought a package of Resurrection Eggs to do Sunday morning.  For those of you who don't know of them...there are 12 plastic eggs, each one with a symbol and a verse to go along with it.  You open each egg, in an order...and tell the story of Jesus' cruxifiction and end with His rising.  Simple, and won't take very long....

Dan and I will happily pitch in with the prep - we can do tortillas or whatever you need!  Electric griddles work well for those too if we need to free up grill space.

I have a griddle that can go on a 2 burner stove.

If someone has a crock pot maybe I can do the other beans in there that way they will stay warmer at dinner

Okay.  I have a recipe that says cook in a dutch oven at 350 for 45 minutes.  Can I put the same recipe in an oven at 350 for 45 minutes?  It is Moose's recipe for hashed brown casserole...I wanted to make it for the potluck.

Oh, and I did buy a few, seriously, just a few, little Easter decorations to put on the trailer.  :-)  I wanted to buy Easter Egg lights...but decided to wait for next year.

Thanks Bob You Rock.. I'm almost finished cooking the rice when Done I will have cooked an entire 5 Lb bag :yikes:

BOB....BAD NEWS...I can't find the DVD for the Tv show..what stinks is I wanted you to copy it since I only have one copy...I thought I had brought it to Flying Flags..but I have no clue, It's not in the ususal places I would have put it...

For some reason I have this feeling someone borrowed it to watch it at flying flags but I'm not sure....I hope it's not gone forever :%
