The Shurflow water pump installed on Fleetwood popups seems to make a lot of noise. Has anyone found a way to reduce this noise? Are new soft hoses needed?

GWPeck

I had the same experience with the pump on my Fleetwood Timberlake.

Since it seemed like a good idea anyway (to extend pump life), I purchased and installed an accumulator tank.

The installation was at most a 30-minute process, requiring two screws, two PEX tube fittings (push-on for the tube side, threaded for the connector hose), and two faucet connector hoses from my local Joe Homeguy store, plus some teflon tape.

The noise reduction was dramatic--and my pump cycles about 50% less often while delivering more consistent pressure.  With the cost of the tank and fittings, my expense was less than $50.

This web page was my inspiration...

Accumulator tank and soft hoses between the pump and the accumulator fixed to moise just as you described. Thanks
