I have no clue what the current gas prices are, but DH is thrilled that he was able to fill our tank for under $30(it had gotten up to $40 a tank for a bit)

Cheer up Austin, things could be worse [and probably will be]. A gallon of gas still does not cost as much as a gallon of good cold brew.......

Prices are staying somewhat steady here so far this week. (that can change at any moment tho) I filled up today for 2.71 and that is because there was no line like the station across the road for 2.69.  $34.00 for just shy of half a tank
Most places it's hanging in the 2.79 to 2.89 range around here

I haven't gotten gas in a week but while on Vacation in the central coast of Ca. it was about $3.35 I belive it's about $3.05 to 3.15 here. My MIL said it was $2.89 in Kenner, LA. yesterday

I'll finally chime in, because I can do so with lower blood pressure now that we're under $3.  I filled up last night at Sam's Club for $2.86/gallon.

On top of that, I got 20.6 mpg on my car doing regular driving (back and forth all over So. Cal.), which is about 2 mpg higher than I usually get.  Whoo-hoo!!

*does a rain dance for gas prices to fall*

They're tesing us around here, hovering around 2.97-2.98

I squealed when I saw 2.70 and topped off my tank.

My mom and I made a weird discovery though.

Fill your tank in the early morning when it's cool, you'll get more gas or it last longer somehow. We think it has to do with the volume of the gas expanding as it heats up, but maybe more just evapourates while you're filling.

It's an incentive to fill at more air-friendly times and get a move on early. XD

Be careful, this is what the oil companys want to hear. You got so used to paying over $3 a gallon, that you are happy to pay $2.75, forgetting that not too long ago we were paying well under $2.

Bought gas yesterday in New Jersey at $2.54.  Small station.  Attendant told me they were trying to put the WaWa down the road out of business-they had gas at $2.61.  (WaWa is a large convenience store/gas outlet based in the MidAtlantic area.)

Gas here in Delaware is in the $2.80 range, +/- .03.

Thanks for all the prices.  Looks like I may have overbudgeted at $3.00 a gallon for this trip. :)

When we left last year, I believe I paid a high of $3.49 in NY and a low of about $2.79 on the way home so these prices are a bit lower in some areas than last year.

Heading out to PA, TN, NC, VA and MD.  See you all in about 3 weeks or so.

Paid $2.53.9 today at Costco

I filled up in Greer, South Carolina yesterday, $2.349 a gal....
