anyone keep a pup at a seasonal site?

what do you think about using a pup at a  seasonal site?

tlhdoc

I don't keep our PU at a seasonal site, but if you did, you should probably pop it up and down each trip to keep the tenting in good shape.:)

Only place I've seen seasonal PUP's was at Bucktail Camping Resort in Mansfield, PA.  They had quite a few.  We were there on a very quiet night,  most of the seasonals were not there.  Most PUP's were down, but a couple were left popped up.  The didn't look in  bad shape.

We would have ours down as often as we could, though, when we had it in the driveway at home.  I would agree with tlhdoc that you most likely would increase the life of your tenting if it was down as much as possible.

Friends of ours did it for 2 summers with their Palomino MXL(identical to ours).
They had the mandatory tarp over the site, a home-size fridge next to the rig, a shed, and all the tacky lights and doo-dads that seasonals love.:screwy:

It was kept up all season(this is a hard-side pop-up, BTW) so there was no strain on the lift systems. Being under the tarp saved the canvas bunk ends from damage. In the same cg, I knew of at least 3 other pop-ups(older ones), so it is a inexpensive way to camp as a seasonal,...just not very comfortable.
