Quote from: copcarguyMan Tracy, I really hope you copy and pasted that! It sounds like the lady that checked us in last year typed it... She must've been breathing and typing that and couldn't handle doing two things at once. lol

Wow, you were quick to notice.  Yes, we put money down on it last Friday.  We will pick it up Dec 2nd and get electronic brake control installed on my vehicle at the same time.  They made an offer we just couldn't pass up.  Scary but I really think it will work out with the kids growing up. Now I just have to hope steel prices go up like they are suppose to next year. LOL.

Question:  can we still be in COTOC?  :D Please!!!!

I don't have pictures of it yet but you can check it out on www.stonescampingworld.com if you wanted to.

Well I will have to call an emergency meeting of the membership committee, show them your application for continued membership.  Have an interview with you and your entire family in your camper.  See what kind of good snacks you can cook in your new oven and then go back and have a vote after a week or two.  Oh wait we don't have a committee so I guess there isn't anyone to throw you out.  Of course you are still a Cotocian, don't be silly!:D

copcarguy

I second the motion that you're still a COTOCian.  :p  Besides, no one else really understands the light addiction disorder as well as you Scott.

You guys are the best.  Who else could appreciate my strangeness the way you guys do.:p

tlhdoc

Humm....do I have a new trick to wow you guys at the campfire!:D
We had a very educational gathering at the light on the French Creek trip.  You know me.  Always trying to learn something on every camping trip.

Scott I am sorry....but I didn't know you were strange.
How is the house coming along?

Well, it isn't quite done but we are moving back in on Friday regardless.  A partially done house will be better then the trailer in our view.  I guess it would be different if it were ours but with it being a temporary setup, it is hard to make it a "home".  So we are just bitting the bullet and moving back into the house.  Thanks for asking.

Well, we picked up the new camper last night. First time towing something with electronic brakes, weight distribution hitch and all that fun stuff. Boy was that a new experience. I bought the extentions for the side mirrors but didn't hook them up. Wishing I had because it was tough not seeing out the back or the sides. Making blind lane changes on Rt. 295 was fun:yikes:  But got it home safe and sound. Can't wait to take it out camping now. Well, I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving and I look forward to talking and seeing everyone soon.

copcarguy

Good luck with the new camper!

Scott, a WD hitch, brake control, and needing tow mirrors sure does add a lot to the towing experience doesn't it??  :D  What brake controller did you end up with?  I know you'll be fine!  I hope you're mostly settled back home now too.

Yeah, it sure does add a new dimension.  I know the hitch is a equl-i-zer.  I don't remember the brake control off the top of my head.  As for the house, the counters got installed today and the plumber is there now installing the kitchen faucet and hooking up the dishwasher now.  Most of the rest is all up to us to do as we have time.  It sure does feel good waking up in our own house however.  I don't have the computer hooked up at home yet but I should get around to it this weekend hopefully.  I should also get around to getting another site for ns lake.  Well, can't wait to see you guys again soon.

Scott congratulations on the new rig and the new towing experience.:)

Well if you really want to go camping come to Delaware this weekend and go camping with us.:D

I wish I could have but my wife had family in from arizona and florida so we were tied to the house this weekend.  Hope you had a wonderful time.  The weather sure did work out.

Quote from: tlhdocIt is up to the group, but I am guessing Pine Grove KOA/Twin Grove Park in Pine Grove, PA on Presidents Day weekend. I emailed the park to see if they know if they are having the Valentines special again this year. Last year the special included the campsite, buffet dinner and breakfast, and a cake at check in. There is a restaurant at the campground that is open all year long. We don't make reservations until the last minute or don't make reservations at all and just show up. They have plenty of sites open that time of year.:)

Did you find out any more about cost and such?  We are looking forward to camping soooooooo much.
