Quote from: dademtDid you find out any more about cost and such? We are looking forward to camping soooooooo much.
Scott they haven't sent out the information for the special.  I do have an email where you get one night free if you camp for 2 or more nights there, so if you don't like the Valentines special you can still get one night free.:)

Hi Tracy,

This might be doable for us, the only fly in the ointment might be a Search and Rescue school for Civil Air Patrol that weekend. My group commander is kind of twisting my arm to instruct, but the school has not been confirmed at this point.

I'll know closer to February, and if I don't have the other commitment, EZ & I would love to join the crowd.

Thanks tracy and I may take you up on that.  I think I might also have an offer at home from KOA after buying the camper.  I will have to check that out.  I just can't wait to get camping.  We have been using the camper as a present wrapping area for the kids stuff so I am getting a nerveous twitch to get in there and fix the one shelf support.  My father is having fun telling me I have just purchased a storage unit instead of a camper.

I received an email from the campground today.  Here it is.

Rick the $10 off is for the restaurant, not the campground.:)

That's what I meant - one free day camping and some $ off the food bill...  :)

We will be in town that weekend, but Raymond is NOT going to camp in the Winter. And we may be to broke to go anyway...on 2/3 we are going to someplace warm VIA somplace not so warm.  We are sailing out of Charleston SC for a 7 day cruise to the Caribean (sp??).
We are going to give Jeffrey's GF's mom some money to keep him that week (he stays there all the time anyway), unless I hear someone here volunteer...nope, did not think so.

Congrats on the trip.  I think you will have earned the most miles traveling one way on a vacation this year out of the group.

Thanks, right after Thanksgivng we DROVE to deerfield beach FL (just north of Ft. Lauderdale via Myrtle Beach for 2 night and 9 hours drive from home to Ashland VA the first day (stuck in trffic south of DC for 6 hours) so since Thanksgiving, we booked a buncha miles...oh, and spent New years in Rutland VT (and a lot of time SITTING on the NJ Turnpike home)..I am allergic to Vermont and the Catskills in NY...got a sinus headache that did not let up until south of the Berkshires in Mass on the way home...was taking 24 hour allegra D's wvery 6 hours just to get minimal relief.

That is why the cruise...I am a beach/sea person...when in Deerfield, had forgoten what it was like to really feel good...
note to self: you have to retire in south Florida, near the water...retirement? 3 and 3/4 years (No will not qualify for Social Secuiry, but State Pension)

I am new to the message board and I would like to see about meeting up with your group.

My wife and I are from Harrisburg,PA but originally from Northern NJ.We have a Coleman Santa Fe Popup and just (today) upgraded our tow vehicle from an 01 Windstar to an 07 Explorer.

The Febuary trip looks like fun.  I will have to keep an eye on the weather and see how it goes.  Do you have to do anything to formerly join your group?

Please let me know.

Are there families with children in your group?  I have an 11 yr old daugher that is usually looking for kids to roam around with.

Welcome and to answer the last part first, yes, there are those with children. We have three ( among the youngest in the group ). My son turns 9 this month, a daughter 7-1/2 and another 2-1/2. There are others with kids who are closer in age to your daughter.  We are going this weekend close to you if you are interested. Well, congrats on the new tow vehicle and hope to see you guys soon.  I am sure Tlhdoc or copcarguy will be on soon to tell you the membership requirements.:p

Where are you going camping?  Last weekend would have been perfect.  I think I need to get the camper out of storage.
