Have fun guys although I still think you're crazy.

Rick, you could go PLAY in the snow but I hear you. I'll have to be out there shoveling.

Tracy, yes the surgery was Tuesday. I'm a ditz but I'll blame it on being sick. I have a terrible cold/cough (probably bronchitis). Can't control the bloody noses so I'm off to the doctor myself today. Brought Chris home from the hospital yesterday. He's doing well - just needs to avoid me. Have sort of quaranteed me. I caught this from Kels but luckily she's ok now. Chris moves slowly but he's more mobile than we expected this soon. He gets terrible headaches but the incisions don't appear to be a problem. Takes shallow breaths and speaks softly so doesn't do too well on the phone. Sleeps alot coz everything exhausts him. He looks like a roadmap. Dr started one procedure but ran into trouble so he had to go through the chest. Told him I thought he was trying to catch up to J  ;) .

Ahhhh the advantage of living in the southland, they are calling for 2 to 4 here Tuesday into Wednesday.  I could not go if I wanted to, I have to do disaster recovery testing on Sunday...that is my baby...

Let me know about lunch on Saturday though...Becky if you need a ride, I can go through Hershey, if not I will go through Reading.

When I went last time, I got off at the Pine Grove Exit on I 81 heading North, and turned left onto 443 and it was about 5 or 6 miles and marked.  Tracy told me to turn away from the Burger King...(or was it Arbys ???)when I got to the exit.

Di, tell Chris we are thinking about him.  And I hope that Ken is doing OK too.  My middle son is in the hospital, they are running tests to see if he has gall stones or diverticulitis.  Jeffrey went to the emergency room Saturday (when we were on our way home from Charleston SC, Jeffrey was suppsosed to be staying with friends...yeah right) at first they thought it was alcohol poisoning (evidently he was drunk saturday AM) but they diagnosed kidney stones and gave him an antibiotic(???), so we made a direct route home, no stopping except for gas and to pay tolls. We have been putting the house back together ever since...

IF the roads are clear on Thursday AM, and DS doesn't have a snow day on Wednesday I will tow to work as planed, and drive straight to the campground after work, IF they have the campground plowed.

IF the roads are not clear in the AM, I will not tow.  I will have to go home (the wrong direction) and get the trailer and then turn around and drive right past my place of employment.  I will have 2 extra hours of driving time.

IF DS does have a snow day on Wednesday, he will have to go to school on Friday.  I may or may not go camping on Thursday, but will have to go pick him up on Friday.  OR I could wait and come camping on Friday.

I hope the storm stays to the south and we only get 2 inches.  I did get the snow blower out and fill it with gas, so maybe that will keep the snow away.:D

Rick made his reservation for the same site he had in January.  We have camped on those 2 sites several other times when no one else has camped with us.  I don't know where I will end up, but it will be somewhere in the back corner.:)

HersheyGirl

They are calling for 6 to 8 inches of snow here with ice on top.  Good luck you hardy campers.

copcarguy

Not sure if we're leaving Thursday or Friday.  Playing it by ear.  I called the front desk today and told them a few of us would be coming "by the end of the week".  They said they would plow out the Q sites we usually get really well for us.  I also told them if I could not get my camper out I would just get a cabin.

Well I pulled the camper up from the backyard last night, it's hitched up to the van in the driveway.  We have about an inch of snow, then 2 inches of ice, now it's snowing again.  I am about to check the forecast - but I'm afraid to!  I hope we get to go this weekend.  I really do not want to go in a cabin, I want to be in my PU!

tlhdoc

My PU is loaded and sitting in the driveway.  Couldn't hitch up, because I needed the TV to get to work today.  DS has school on Friday, because they canceled school today.  Not sure when we will get there, just hope this trip is doable.  I really, really need to camp.:(

Now DS doesn't think he is going to go.  I WILL NOT tow to work tomorrow (my original plan).  I am leaning toward Friday am, but if someone else is going Thursday, I may go then.:)

Cheryl

CAPEd CODger and I (and our friends) will be there mid day on Friday!

I am happy to see that we are still going.:D

Just an FYI here.....rt. 81 is closed from rt 39 in Harrisburg to the New York boader due to jack-knifed tractor trailers.  I have heard that they are trying to open up one lane, but so far have not had any luck.  Rt 78 is also closed for the same reason.  Truckers have been calling the radio station saying that they have been stuck on rt 81 since 9 am yesterday.  Just be aware of some traffic problems if you come in today.  I am stuck out in front of my house and so is DH.  We had to park on the street and the snow plow and deep snow has boxed us in and now it is all ice and we can't get out.  Someone had to pick DH up in one of those evil SUV's (:# )so that he could go into work.  I probably won't be able to get out until Wednesday, when the temp is expected to get above freezing.
Good luck and be careful driving.

I am not going camping but should (weather permitting) come for lunch Saturday. What time and where??? I know I can find the campground again, but not sure if I can find the Lebanon shopping area we were at last time.

SheBantam

Even as far south as we are yestersay when I cleared off the minivan (after Delmarva came and trimmed the weeping willow tree that took down a power line, and restrung the line, I had to get the limbs and most of the debris out of the street) well, it gave time for the defrosters to work.

There was an inch and a half of snow, about 2/4 of an inch of compacted ice then another almost inch and a half of snow on top of that, AND IF WAS FREEZING DRIZZLE then...sometimes being south of the mason/dixon line does not always help.  New Castle County was virtually shout down yesterday. State offices in this county were closed. So I had a free day off.
I have had this hacking fever crud that broke early Valentine's morning. Raymond left for Prince Frederick MD area on Monday for Donna's divorce. For those of you who met her other half at RJ Ranch (Remember the guy with the aquatic scene on his bod, in the pool??that was him), she is now officially a free woman (again, this is divorce #3), he is on his way home now.

he left me here with virtually no food and one 2 liter bottle of gingerale, thank goodness I was too sick to be hungry. Jeffrey had broken in while we were away and what food was here in the freezer that could be thawed quickly (other than frozen veggies and a bunch of them are gone too) is now gone as well as the canned gingerales that we had put up.  He did leave a bunch of empty booze bottles and cigarette ashes and smell all over (part of the reason I got extra sick with by breathing) AND he is no where to be found since his brother brought him back Saturday night...Yeah Di, another one of those Jeffrey stories...

I'm off to work a few hours late because it is about 18 degrees with a wind chill of 1 to 2 degrees BRRRRRRRRR.

See you all on Saturday, Lord willing and the roads don't freeze.

Tracy, by rook or crook I will get you the Buddy heater, we have a brand new one, I think still in the box you can use until I catch up with Chip and get yours from him, then you can give me mine back.
