I guess you could say that I was here. Physically I was at work checking in on PopUpTimes (as I did most every day) when there was a thread about a plane hitting one of the towers. I tried to get to various news sites but the traffic was too much. Those around me didn't even know that something was amiss.

So I stayed here and had the most up-to-date information that anyone could ask for. The tragic reports came in from fellow campers that were all over the country and were watching a multitude of news feeds. I felt as if I was more knowledgable than anyone else at work with the morning's events.

I don't believe that I got any work done that day. But I sure did a lot of reading and relaying of the news to my co-workers.

Thank you for being my eyes and ears during this terrible ordeal.

I was recovering from a back surgery and had just turned on the television to catch up on the morning news and saw the second plane hit the towers........I laid there in shock and at first thought it was some kind of joke!?? Turned to another station and saw the same thing......Wow, could this be true?  Is this America?  I couldn't cry, or talk just looked with shock watched the television all day in some kind of fog trying to understand the scope of this event......Would America ever be the same would they hit all over the USA was this the start of the end?  Now five years later it's still so strong the memory of those planes hitting and finding out several family members had been there just the day before shopping at the towers........Yes, I remember the day like it was yesterday and pray it doesn't happen again to us or any one else.....GOD BLESS AMERICA AND KEEP US STRONG.....

I was in a bucket truck, hanging out over the road on St. Rd. 200 in Ocala, Fl, building a traffic signal. When one of the  guys came and hollered up to me someone had stopped and told him that the WTC had been hit by an airplane and was burning, I came down and we turned on the radio in the truck and listened to the broadcast in total shock and dis-belief

Getting ready for work and heard on NPR that a small plane had reportedly hit the towers. When I got to school (where I work) I heard that it was a jet not a small plane and that another one had just hit. It was really difficult to focus on teaching that day. Whenever we could find an excuse or a quick break we would go into the library where there was a t.v. to find out what was going on. I'll never forget watching the first tower collaspe. And then couldn't believe that the second one had collasped also.
