This link is from the Astronomy Picture of the Day, and was taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.  It shows the unmistakable tracks of a moving vehicle.  Arrows added by NASA point out the actual alien robotic craft.  They estimate the size of the Alien Craft at about the size of a large desk.

Be sure to follow the links...they prove this is all 100% true!

I read about this the other day. It's an amazing picture. Thanks for the link.Moose

Someone asked if this was a hoax.  I have to assure you, it is not.  NASA has known about the alien spacecraft for many years, and now is willing to admit to it, since they are publishing photographs of it.  They believe there is a second alien craft on the other side of Mars, but they are not showing pictures of that one (at least not yet).

Now the dihydrogen monoxide thing was sort of a hoax (though every word was true), but rest assured - the alien spacecraft photo is not doctored, and it really does show a remotely-controlled robotic alien spacecraft on Mars.

AB...check your PM's.

Folks, this is real. I was stunned, but I did a little research, and it is true. I'm surprised the media hasn't really turned on their jets, so to speak, about this alien spacecraft.

A very fancy way to say "our spacecraft".

Yes, per the dictionary definitions, with respect to Mars, Humans are "aliens".  Any spacecraft that we sent there -- Spirit and Opportunity are... "alien spacecraft" with respect to Mars.

From the above linked photo:

Note, the carefully-worded sentence:
"the spot appears mobile and is now hypothesized to be a robot created by an intelligent species alien to Mars. In fact, the spot appears to be NASA's robotic Opportunity rover currently rolling across Mars."

Yes, there appears to be a track by an "intelligent species". Duh... US, from planet Earth.  From the second sentence, "the spot appears to be NASA's robotic Opportunity".

End of the E.T. hunt.  Back to your regularly scheduled camping...

(P.S. Every time I see these Mars rovers' names in print, Spirit and Opportunity, I can't help thinking of the 1998 movie "Armageddon", complete with their spacecraft "Freedom" and "Independence" -- similarily themed names.)

I wondered how long it would take for somebody to spill the beans.

The point with these kinds of posts is never to see who gets it, it's to see if you can find someone who falls for it.  Unlike the Dihydrogen Monoxide thread from several years ago, nobody fell for this one.  The DHMO thread had people fall for it even though the second post said simply "Dihydrogen Monoxide = H20".

sorry... I guess I was being too serious last night (browsing forum while doing Windoze tech support for my dad...)

By clicking "view all new posts", it is very easy to not notice which sub-forum the thread is in!
