Pop up with higher walls?

I'm starting to look at newer popups to get in the future. I've got several years out of my old '75 Skamper but its starting to develope some problems that I dont care to get involved in fixing.  The old Skamper has a box thats 13' x 7' and the hard wall halves are 32" tall. It also has a fixed sink that doesnt have to be lifted to set up. The wall height(fixed sink & 4cu.ft. fridge) are things that we REALLY like and dont want to get away from.  I've seen the Fleetwood Highlander and like the size, are their other manufactors that I could look at with "higher walls"?

Thank for your input, this site has great members full of advice and wisdom. I've turned to this site many times through my popup years.

They probably all do. I have seen the Flaggstaff with high walls, and probably means that Rockwood has them too. I also believe Jayco has them now as well...

http://www.starcraftrv.com/ makes their Centenial series.

http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/default22.asp?nav=rec makes high walls in both Flagstaff and Rockwood lines.

http://www.jayco.com/ has their Select high wall.

I have to laugh a little about the "new" high wall trailers. Back in the early 70's they were very common and the only low wall camper was the Coleman's. Came the gas crisis and longer bunk lengths (no open area between the bunks when closed up for higher galley units) and all of a sudden the high wall trailers disappeared.

How long have they been makeing the "newer" high wall campers?
Thanks for the links.
If our first popup didnt have higher walls we probally wouldnt know the differance. But it does and we dont want to part with 'em.  I just wish the old ones would last forever!

We have an 05 Fleetwood Highlander Niagara and love it.  The counter space is great and love the kitchen height galley.  I don't miss the pull down galley we once had.  The hard potty/show is wonderful and the 2 king beds are good too.  I can't say enough good things about it.  LOVE LOVE LOVE It.

Hope this helps

Gotta agree, Mike. Even as late as 1984. We are currently restoring an '84 Starcraft Starmaster 21, and it has tons more storage and "cabinet height" than our '86 Palomino.

Is the Starcraft a "taller wall" popup?

I had never noticed these type of pop ups before we got ours, of course I wasnt paying attention before that either.  I just always thought they made them with little walls, lift up galleys ect. and that was what you got.  Weve been pop upin for 5-6 years and never noticed anouther tall wall.
