We have several CampGrounds within an hours drive, but do we go to them......
 Nooo......because we prefer to dry camp in the smaller Forest CGs we trek about 4 hrs away to camp. For a weekend we have 1 that  is not far off the beaten path that we frequent in Grayling.

We like Beaver Meadows about 2 hrs from home, when we go it just feels like we re " home" .  No electric, pump your own water, no flush toilets, most people don t like it but we do, it s always quiet and sometimes we have the whole campground to ourselves!

We like Daingerfield SP in east Texas because it s only about 1 1/2 hours away and is one of the most peaceful SP s in TX.
