Tonight is my 299th night in this camper.  If all goes well Thanksgiving night will be night 300.  Using just the purchase price of the camper, not counting the add ons to the PU and the cost of campgrounds, towing, and other expenses.  It will have cost me $23.33 per night to camp in this camper.:)

Wow!  That's quite a record.  Hope you have many more to come, and hope we can be with you for a few of those.   :)

:)

I think it is a testament to the quality of popup campers. Many people believe they are "disposable." However, when well-maintained, and used properly, they can last many years at heavy usage.

That's way cool.

We'll see you to help celebrate your 301th night.

Thanks everyone. :D

Dave I plan on camping with you in April, if not before.  Assateague Island is the first place we camped in the Nevada when I bought it.   I heard you are getting a good deal on some solar panels.  If you change your mind and don't want them, let me know.

Gee Larry I didn't think my camper was that old, but you are right.  A pu can last a long time if it is taken care of.  Your camper is a good example.

Chip I am looking forward to seeing your new camper.  It will your first night camping in it, I think?  Your first and my three hundred and first.

I also want to let everyone know that I have kept a camping journal since I have had this camper.  That is how I know how many nights I have camped in it.  If it wasn't for the journal I would have no idea.:)

Do you want an official ruling?  I am authorized to make such decisions;) .  I do need more information in order to make a ruling.  I kind of like the 1/301 thing.   See you on Friday!

Question for you about the area.  Is there a Staples store in the area?

Nah...I think we'll just make it the official at Killens, and call the Camp Backyard thing a sleepout...:)

There is a Staples in Dover.  Next to the Acme at the north end of town...

Something I can pick up for you???

I am not a big shopper, but I usually go there for the opening on black Friday.  Thanks for the information and the offer.:)

We're looking forward to Assateague, we'll be there as soon as we can on Easter.  Keep a nice site warm for us.   We'll be taking those solar panels, and yes, I believe he's being very generous for us.  It's a deal we couldn't pass up.   The Assateague trip will be our first true dry camping adventure.  We'll give those panels a good test there.

Hey all!

Tracy - we just got home safely.  Thanks for being a good camping neighbor and friend.  We decided today that we were just going to drive straight to Campers Barn in Kingston and dump off the Santa Fe.  BTW, this trip marked the 299th minute we spent in that camper.  LOL!  EVERYONE @ CB was extremely super nice, and there is just too much to type here.  I'll look for you online later!
