Quote from: TheVikingWithout getting into the Looong story. Basically, I tore the shore power cord totally out of the Trailer. Ripping the wires from the converter and wiping out the wood that mounts the electric panel under the fridge. I'll explain the whole story tomorrow.
I have a feeling that I know what yooooooou did. :yikes:  :p

Hi guys, we are still here with carol and Jim, practically the only campers here.  The campground looks so different now and is too quiet for me...We had a great time meeting with old and new friends.  from gorgeous weather on Sat. for our winnery tour and shopping in Solvang, (was colder)  to dinner at A.J.spurs. a great dinner was had by all.  Today, Monday we decided because Dave won all the money at poker we go to the casino and try our luck...as luck has it we left when we lost $80.00 each...those tight indians...we went for a bowl of soup at anderson split pea Now we are going for a nice afternoon swim.  Then tonight out to dinner again with a good friend from school.  It was a wonderful long weekend.  Now packing up and leaving early tomarrow.

160 miles: 5 hours there, 2:40 home.  Next time I won't wait till 3:30 on Friday before a holiday weekend to pull out of the driveway.

Before leaving we fed 25 pounds of carrots to the Icelandic horses up the road.  Talked to the rancher and heard the sad story of farmers left and right selling to developers.

Good time had by all.  I'm exhausted.

well we made it back safe..what a fabulous weekend....Thanks Karen for wagonmastering...and Thanks Brad for a very well organized dinner out and wine tasting tour.. It rained Sunday nite but the fire still burned on!!!

Made it home after a short detour through Solvang for pastries for neighbors.  Got here by 1:00, dumped everything in the garage, swept out the trailer, surveyed my new floors (basically I like them, but they did some sloppy work in a few places & will be coming back to fix it -- grrrr ...), went to the lot & dropped the trailer, went to IKEA for temporary rugs for the new wood floors, came home & moved furniture in, unpacked, and am just now sitting.  Lord, I need another week off!

Had a blast and am delighted that my friends enjoyed themselves, too.  Carolyn commented several times on how welcoming everyone is & easy to be around.  She keeps talking about when "we" go again -- makes me smile.  And I think June would go again, too.  However, I'm going to try to NOT have them go on the same trip.  I want my own bed & my own space!  (Okay, call me stingy -- but I need some order in my world.)

My new trailer makes me happy.  Everything works, no leaks with the rain last night, and I'm really okay pulling it.  Only did 40 mph up the grade from Oxnard, so I'm now aware of the limitations of a V-6.  Will try to keep it on the straight & level as much as possible.  Maybe in a couple of years I'll upgrade to a V-8.  But there are LOTS of places to go where I don't have to pull up big hills.

Thanks for all the organizing the organizers did.  It's nice to just go along sometimes.

Hi Everyone,
We had a really great time! Met new people who I only knew by their handle on the boards. I now can put faces to the names. Never got to see Dave and Lori's trailer. Laura's was way cool. For a 19 foot trailer, they provided lots of storage.
We want to thank all of you for keeping the "big secret" from Theresa about her brother coming to this campout. You know when they say " Thousands of miles traveled; 18 hours to get there, but the look on Theresa's face: priceless!"
It was the best Nikon moment! Speaking of pictures; as soon as I can sort out our personal photos from the camping photo's we will post them.
A big thanks goes out to Brad & Mary for AJ Spurs dinner! Also a round of applause for Karen and Wes for getting this rally going. Very cool design of the rally logo by Wes!
My son Steve and his girlfriend Allison and Kate, got back home to Portland, Or. at 9:00 PM! They left the campground @ 5:30 am!
