WE SOLD OUR POP UP AND WE'RE GOING HYBRID SHOPPING!!!
Dan and I were just talking about you today and wondering how the sale was going!  Congratulations!!!!!

griffsmom

Yep, we sold the pop up. :)  I guess that makes us :tent: again!!! ;) :D

It's a bittersweet thing for me, really.  I love our pop up, just not all the work necessary to set up all the stuff we "can't camp without," so I am very excited about ordering our hybrid.  And yet, it was Griffin's first pop up, and it will always hold a special place in my heart when I think of all the great memories it has given us.  Then again, we sold it to Griffin's swimming teacher and boyfriend, a really sweet couple, and I know they are going to enjoy it, so it's going to a good home. Really, all positives, no matter which way you look at it.  I even threw in a "free membership" to SCCampers.  I'm pretty sure that was what swung the deal.  ;)  Hopefully, they'll come camping with us sometime so you can all get to meet them.

Can I be the start of the waiting list?  I go away and not lurk for
a while and these rallies are instantly full- and popups are sold!

It will be Me, Edwin and Brian.

Sorry for the delay.  We were CAMPING!  Jason and I left at the crack of dawn (okay, actually 1:20 pm) last Sunday.  Our first night was at Lake Cachuma, then Pismo, then four nights at the Santa Margarita KOA, then last night at McGrath.  We picked Kristi and Melissa up at the SLO Amtrak station on Wednesday.  34 family members joined us- aged 3 (Jason) to 93 (my grams.)

Anyway- yes we're in.  I wasn't looking forward to $50 a night so the $35 rate is much better.  We'll start out with a few days snow camping in Sequoia National Park then join everybody on Friday.

It will be Kristi (maybe), Melissa (6), Jason (3), and me.

PS on the wine tasting fees.  We spent some time Friday up in the Paso Robles area wine tasting.  The winery posted fees were $3 to $5 each.  We didn't pay at any- although someone in our party of six bought at least something at each winery.  We did walk out of two wineries before tasting that looked too gimicky.

If Kristi comes she'll be in for wine tasting.  I'll probably stay at camp with the kids.

There are a lot of fun things for kids in the area.  Ostrich farm just outside Buellton.  We stopped at the miniature horse farm near Ballard on Saturday.
