Roof repair

I have a 1998 Skamper, one of the roof side panels has considerable water damage and rot.  Is this a DIY job?  I am pretty handy but have never do anything this extensive on a popup.  I know Skamper is out of business, I contacted Dutchmen but they could not help with a replacement panel.  Any idea where I could get one or will I have to have one custom made?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
