Forest lake Preserve - Advance, NC

Just before Thanksgiving I spent a few nights at the Forest Lake Preserve in Advance, NC.  Very nice campground with full hookups.  Sections A & B were closed for the season, but there were 50 or so of us in the remaining sections (C, D & E).  There's even a section for group camping/horse camping.  The lake was very pretty, and the cabins not too intrusive on the lake's beauty.  Several walking trails and one features a pioneer cemetary dating back to the 1850's.  Bathrooms and showers were spotless as was the laundry.  Very relaxing campground with all amenities (in season).  Nearby is Childress Winery, a Food Lion Grocery store close to Lexington, NC.  A super Wal-mart about 13 miles away in Mocksville.
