Chez Way

So Vail Lakes is not even a choice?  I would still be willing to go there but it looks like I'm alone on this one!  We will go to wherever the ScCampers are...we have arrived at midnight Friday and still have enjoyed the weekend.

the bear wasn't bad when I Had Randy and Julie's DH  around it was the last nite when the campgound got fairly empty and I was alone with the kids and the only thing seperating them from that bear was a piece of canvas!!

I was just checking out Buena Vista...I noticed that the park closes its gates Mon-Thurs at 8:00p and Fri at 10:00p.
if we are not able to get off work early on friday, we might not make it before 10:00p. It would be a drag not to get it in.  might be worth checking with the cg to get the 411, if the group decides to rally there.

I will give them a call today and let yu know what is up. If it came down to it, my address is only 16 miles away and you could stay there for the late arrival if they did not let you in. Put that is putting us ahead of something I don't know of yet.

Yucaipa is like that but they have a code so if you need to leave ..we'll wait until Bob calls and finds out the scoop and answers all our questions...

Here is the latest as of Wed. Before I could call the campground; I asked my coworkers about Buena Vista and got this from a regular vistor. When Betty and her family go camping there, if they need to leave after 10PM. they just use the out lane. Picture two guard shacks and two lanes into the campground. On the far left is an exit lane. It has no chain or tire busters on the ground to prevent you from leaving at any time. This is what Betty does when she needs to leave after 10 pm. When I called the campground, the lady said that If you can not make it by ten o'clock pm, that the gates are closed till 6am.
I did ask also if I could make all the reservations at one time. When you call in or look at the web site, it says you can only book a maximum of two sites per call. I explained when we would be having this rally and she said because of when it was and that it is off season, that I could make all the reservations on one phone call.

i'm sorry but i'm confused, so if we are unable to arrive by 10:00pm, we are locked out until 6:00am?  it sounds like we have to get there before 10:00 to be able to get in.

so if we arrive after 10PM then we go in the out lane??  shoot I can do that..

you need to clarify that as a for sure otherwise half the group could be stuck outside the gate....
Just to give you a timeline..where I live in Anaheim (yorba Linda) it takes me 2 hours to get to Brians in Lancaster  WITHOUT my trailer & WITHOUT traffic
so those who leave after work probably won't make it.

I will go out again this weekend (sat) and look at just the entrance part to clear this up.
