Here's part of my poor mental image of trailer size:

My trailer-
6.5'x18' JimQPublic

Your trailers (opened but no awnings):

10x25 Wavery
10x25 Beacher
16x30 Dee4J
8x20 Hatlet
8x20 Cjpoppin
9x28 KimRB266
8x25 Azusateach
10x25 BootheBunch
14?x25? GriffsDad/Mom
? cb
8x20 Estone
10x27 TheViking
10x27 Sue Hardee

No wonder we're cramped with 4 in the Chalet- inside dimensions are 11'x6'4".

I have an awning, too, but didn't count that in the dimensions ...

Wow, that is very good mental image!

Time to fire up that Autocad or ProE workstation, using a satellite scale Google Earth layer. :p

Looking straight down at the site with Google Earth it appears that the parking area may be separated from the campfire area by a barrier of sorts.  That's going to be cozy! :D

Anyone have an "off road" trailer dolly with those big knobby wheels?  It might come in handy to manuever the trailers.

Just a note here.........................

Quote from: waveryIn good ol' California tradition, we could build a platform over the edge of the cliff and park a camper or 2 on that. :p

Methinks instead of building a platform we'll just dangle you down the cliff.

That may be a good idea. It will keep the park rangers from wandering through our campsite, looking for a generator running. :J

So, our trailer might not fit with our slider open, huh? We have to open the slider..it's too big (takes up too much space inside the trailer)...

OH, dear!

Lisa

BootheBunch

I just checked....we are 27 feet long and 10 1/2 feet wide, when open.

HMMMMMMM!! .....I was just thinking.........Maybe I should only give you 1'. We have to be able to open our door :p

I'm thinkin we are going to bail on this one. With the size limits it looks like there is at this place, and the size our our TT (16'6" wide w/Awning and 31' -long tip to tip) It seems to me it would be like trying to stuff 10 pounds of C#*p into a 5 pound sack.  We'll catch the next one though.

kimrb266

I checked with Kodiak and our trailer is 9' (open slide)  x 28 1/2.  Hope this helps.

Dee4j

yes I think I am going to bail on this one..the more I think about it.  If I got my wiring fixed the dry camping thing wouldn't be a big deal, but no awning too. with no A/C in July.  that and we'd have to park so close to each other every time someone F*rts your neighbor will here ..then there is the snoring

(waiting to be hit by Lori with a Huge block of Cheese  :p )

Enough Already!  At this rate it will be down to crickets and squirrels by the time the campout arrives.

Lisa and Brandon had to cancel because of a pre-planned family get together.

Like I said before, I'll check with the park staff to see if we'll be able to park north of the table area.  Some of the aerial photos show a vehicle there.  If that's the case there would be room for a few trailers there and reduce any crowding problem.
