I remember camping there as a kid. Fond memories, I remember they did not have any safety gates or rails around the cliff areas if I am thinking of the right camp site. I'm sure it has changed since I was a kid. I would love to go but we will be camping in the Shaver lake area. Everybody have a great timne, see you on the Labor Day trip.

It looks like we're down to 7 trailers on this trip.  I think there's plenty of room for 10 so this is a great opportunity for a short-notice beach camping trip.

First, I had jury duty on our camping week and had it postphoned a week.  DH just told me last night that he has to work Friday night (arrival day) for a DUI check point and can't get out of it.   He may do one of 2 things:  1.  get off work at approx. 2ish AM and drive to our campsite or 2. Go straight home and come and join us on Sat AM.  I'm thinking the decision will be made for him on what time he actually gets off.   We don't want him to arrest a DUI driver too late in the evening because he won't get off work until about 4ish AM.
 
I have a question.  Will DH be able to get into the campground in the middle of the night?   If not, he'll have to come Sat.

I'm not sure.  If I were him I'd sleep at home.  Why don't you call the campground to see if they close the gate?

I plan to be at the campground right at the first possible check in time.  I think we'll have an incredible weekend.

I've asked one of Matt's friends parents today if they were interested in attending.  They own a hard-sided Palimino and she will have to see if she can get time off.  I've left a message for Matt's girlfriend's parents who own an 06 Niagara but haven't heard back.  I don't think they'll come.

We can have games also.  Water balloon lob at the Amtrak is a perennial favorite- only 5 year in prison if caught.
