I think that I could buy a cheap GPS and do a lot of camping for $1200 :D

Although............it does have a built-in MP3 player

I think they should leave this... the only reason there is nothing here is its wintertime who wants to go geocashing right now

I do 75% of my geocaching in the winter!
Better satellite signals, less poison ivy too.
It's also, a great time to get out and look for camping spots
for the summer. Join a geoclub!,makes geocaching a lot more fun..

We have a family of five (11-year-old daughter and sons 9 and 6) and just started geocaching last summer. Started out small, just hitting local parks, etc. We all loved it! Now we're ready to take off on geocaching vacations, and this forum would be excellent for passing along info on good/bad places to geocache and camp.

$889 including shipping.  Still a lot of camping, as Wavery said.  Might be better to buy an established model and save some money.  What about the 660?  I've seen that for $699.  mp3 in a GPS doesn't interest me.  We've got satellite radio with direct wired connection and CD's if we get tired of that.   Think I'll start  an equipment thread.

We do GeoCache in the winter.
