Tell Ashley sorry Jellybean left without saying goodbye. We were on a quest to get out early and most everyone was asleep. Brian wanted to stop and look at trailers on the way home until we got the call that everything went through on the one we wanted. Jellybean will be at the next one and she can take her for another walk with our Ashlee.

We didn't take many pictures last weekend (kept forgetting the camera) but for what it's worth, I posted all we took in my webshots album:

OC Campers

OC's made it home without a hitch.  Took us about 7 1/2 hours and only hit traffic in Sacramento.

We had such a super time.  I really enjoyed sitting around the campfire and getting to know everybody a little bit better.  It was so sad to see everyone leave on Monday.  The pool was empty and the campground management was even grumpier.  Just ask Dee about that:eyecrazy: .

There is nothing like a cold cactus cooler and a warm campfire to relax a soul.  I sure miss camping with everyone on a regular basis.  I guess we will just have to try and "meet in the middle" every year.

Thank you Lori for being the wagonmaster, I know with your schedule it wasn't easy.  Dee thanks for the use of your campsite and for being the "bar tender".  Wayne, Kendra is still talking about Doofus.

One of the best parts about the rally was after everyone left, Matthew learned to ride is bike.  He came up to me and said he was going to try and ride and without any help he took off down the street.  I was in shock.  We have been working with him for months to get him to do this.  I guess good things come to those who wait:) .  Now to get him back on his dirt bike.

Boncrabs family and ours went to lunch today in Solvang and shopped a bit. they had a farmers market with lots of fresh produce. Lisa they had fresh zucchini there, but not a big as Brandon grows!..one guy had a head of cabbage bigger than kevin's head and we saw an onion the size of Kara's and the tomato's are gigantic. we sat by the fire for one last night and our neighbors visiting from South Africa joined for a bit. everyone went to bed except me of course but when our friend the skunk decided to wonder thru behind my trailer and hangout in brandon's site which is still vacant, I decided I'm done and ran inside the trailer. I wish Riley was here to warn me the skunk was coming!
It's just the kids and I tomorrow and Dan comes up Friday. tomorrow is Clean up and organize day..ugh..I can't put it off any longer

Thanks Lori for Planning this
Thanks Dan & Brian for fixing all the stuff on my trailer
Thanks Kendra for taking the kids to the pool etc.. numerous times

Btw..I'm still here...neener neener neener

So, I know I talked A LOT on Friday night (uh, I talk a lot any night when Cactus Coolers are around--truth serum for me)....and I know I mentioned about my biopsy.  I was stressed about it, trying not to let it get to me, but failing miserably.  Anyway, my doc just called and said the biopsy came out negative!!  :-)  Thank God!  And, thanks to those of you who were comforting me!!  You were right!!

Well, I just want to say thank you to everyone who attended this rally. I apologize for being a bit MIA near the end--both in the planning aspects and at the cg.  Something gave me the whammy on the last night. I got chills, hiked up the heater and before I knew it, had the camper at 85+, but was still shivering. Decided i'd better turn down the heat before i boiled poor little Griffy in his sleep and went to bed myself. Dave came in around 1:30 and I was still shivering. Woke up again at 3:30 and my fever must have broken, because then I was sweating. Ugh!

Despite my last night, griffsfamily had a great time! The potlucks were marevelous and the raffle was a kick! Thanks to everyone who donated items and bought tickets. [BTW, Brad and Mary, I have your winnings.  Hope you needed 2 DO lid lifters--I'm not kidding!!]   We raised $285 and with 2 or 3 more raffles, we should have enough for a decent projector...maybe at the Halloween and Easter rallies and with more items for the kids?  I've put Bran and Dan (Mennell) in charge of scoping out the projector when the time comes, so if anyone knows of any deals, those are our go-to guys.

It was great seeing all the kids playing together and having fun--I think we had 30.5 kids at the rally!! It was also a real treat getting to see friends we haven't seen in ages and making new friends!  I never ceased to be amazed at what a great group we've got here--especially for a bunch of ax murderers who all met on the Internet nearly 6 years ago. :yikes: ;) :J Anyway, thanks to everyone for such a wonderful weekend!!!

You'll have to start a new thread. if you do, I'll sticky it.
