Some of you knew that our son Steve, who lives in Fort Collins, CO, lost the sight in his left eye this past October. He was tightening a bungie over the bed of a pick up when the bungie popped off and hit him in his left eye. There is no chance of recovering his vision. Now the weird part. When they did the MRI to check the optic nerve, they discovered he had a brain tumor. How weird he had to lose the sight in an eye to find the tumor. He finally got up the courage to tell us this in early December. They do not know if the tumor is beneign or malignant, but after another MRI last week, they said the tumor has not grown and there is no sign of any other growth in his spinal column. They do not believe that the tumor has attached itself to the brain wall. That would be good news. On Friday, February 16 he will have surgery to remove the tumor. Paula and I ask for your prayers for a safe surgery and recovery. Of course we'll be there for the surgery and his return home. Steve's surgeon is very positive about being able to completely remove the tumor and he should be able to return to work in about 4 weeks.

Sorry SCCAMPERS no jam at Buelton, but I'll have jam at Doheney this Saturday.

All the best to everyone.

Many many many prayers go out to Steve and your entire family. It makes me wonder was Steve's eye injury in "His" plan so the tumor would be discovered.
That's how we found Kevin's kidney problem, by doing an MRI looking for something else.

You got ours Moose.

Sometimes what seems like a curse turns out to be a blessing. Eyesight is terrible to lose, but sounds like he is lucky that it happened. Will pray.

Isn't it good to know that God is bigger than all of this, and that He's got the big picture well under control.

Keep talking with Him, and know that we will be, too.
