Steve came home today. His recuperation is going to take a lot longer than we anticipated. His boys were real happy to see Daddy. He asked for Taco Bell, but will take his time eating it. Thanks for your prayers. He seems to be on the slow road of progressMoose

Update:

We had a call from the surgeon and not all good news. The main tumor was a subependymoma and had a ependymoma in there. There was some cancer found. We don't know specifically how much and to the degree of the cancer. He will be contacting an oncologist to see where we go from here. In spite of this information the surgeon said the outlook for Steve is good. We're all bummed of course. Steve was really bummed when the surgeon said it will take over 6 weeks for him to recover.

On the bright side, Steve is staying up longer and eating well. He's walking to improve his balance.

We'll have to keep him in our prayers for a long time.

It seems to me that news isn't all bad :) . I'm pretty sure that if it was very serious, they would have called him back to the hospital immediately. The fact that they didn't, seems to lesson the urgency and/or severity of the cancer.  It sure could have been a lot worse. The alternative sure wouldn't be very pleasant.

We'll pray that God keeps up his handy work. The prayers of many avail much my friend. Tell Steve to, "hang in there", he has a lot of people thinking and praying for him.

Steve will remain in our prayers. they did disover this really early.  Please keep us updated on his progress
