New Jeep

I pull my small Starcraft with a 2004 Jeep Unlimited.  The Jeep has a 4.0 in it and 4.88 gears so that really helps.  I am to hot on the new JK.  I have been building Jeeps for years and the tried and true inline six was a great engine from day one.  AMC started using it as a 258 4.2 litre.  I know one thing.  you never see a tractor with a V engine.  That inline has a ton of low RPM torque.

i just got back from our first trip with my 04 LJ towing our fleetwood laramie.it knows its there....i have to say i was pretty loaded ,trailer full of stuff and the jeep had the back loaded with firewood  w/a family of 4......make sure the tire are propely inflated....BTW are you going to jeep beach in may???.......i do understand you have the new unlimited but the ratings for towing are not different from what i understand..the V6 fairs a little better in HP and torque....good luck
