Nice pics Wayne.  We may try to go to Pt Magu in March.  DD will be in Az pretty much the whole month so that would be a good time since it's dry camping.

y'all have a good time..as I said I grew up going there. it's beautiful, but now that I'm old an cranky..I can't stand the sand, sand, sand & sand....there is no getting away from it, you walk right out on it and are constently in it. Viking being from Lancaster, the constant Ocean breeze probably wouldn't bother him.
As a kid I didn't mind the sand as much. I wonder if it has anything to do with  that fact I wasn't the one who had to clean it up

I would go here as a day trip any day any time :D

there is a big sand dune across the  Highway we used to climb and run and jump down .

The pics bring back memeories...I forgot abot the rocks...I don't remember there being that many, I guess things can change in 25 years

Dee,

It's a BEACH. Beaches have SAND :# . That's why a lot of people go there.... :J

You're too funny.

The North end of the CG is mostly rocks (by the shore). The south end is sandy beach. If the wind blows hard.....everything is sand :p  We've only had that one time out of the dozen trips that we've made there.

You can also park far enough off of the sand to put your mat on the pavement, if you want.....(you big wuss!!)

that's right that's why OTHER people go there :p  and actually My kids bunk comes of the back SIDE (by 4 ft) of the trailer so other TT's wouldn't be able to pass if I parked away from the sand.

as I said Y'ALL have fun..it's just not for me :D

WUSS, WUSS, WUSS !!!!!! The bunk story, while informative, is crap. You know darn well that you have another bunk on the opposite side you can use for Kara & Kevin. Thus, TT's can pass by. And yes, you can use it because with the Ocean winds you can't put your awning out anyway..:-() LMAO

SEE YA IN PT. MAGU BABY !!!!!!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL

Oh Yeah, and NEENER

Out of the 68 spots at Thornhill Broome (Pt Mugu) I'd say 40 of them have Class-As & TTs with pop-outs. There's plenty of room to pass (if the driver is sober :p ).

Come-on Dee....You are just worried about the kids coming in the camper with a little sand on their tosies............WUSS!!! :J

The kids would love it there. They can throw rocks at each other and Kara can hold Kevin's head under the water until he squirms like a fish. :J

We'll talk about this again, in a few weeks, over a couple  :!  :D

Tell me about it....We're not camping though. Our daughter and her husband bought the bakery in Bridgeport. They also purchased a home and escrow is closing on the house on March 14. We agreed to give them a hand moving. They currently live in Running Springs so it should be interesting.

When we were there in August, I remember seeing the bakery for sale.  We enjoy eating at the little taco joint near it.   I will have to stop in and say hi to her the next time we are in town.  We go ther 2-3 times a year.  Now that we live up north, it is only 200 miles vs. 450 from Orange County.

We have had so little rain and snow, maybe you will get lucky with the weather while you are there.  The winters can be a little harsh.  Even worse than Big Bear.

Actually, my son-in-law (Don) will be running the bakery. I guess that it was a mess. He's in there cleaning the place up now.

They are aware of the extreme conditions up there. They like that stuff :XMas . I don't!!

griffsdad

I've had lots of doughnuts at that bakery before fishing at Bridgeport.
