Darksiders and Chez Way just made reservations for Newport Dunes for Memorial Weekend.  Anyone who wants to join us is more than welcome.  We are staying in the premium section (2203 and 2205).  We know that it is $$$ but we keep going back for more...movies on the beach, water playground, arts and crafts, Balboa Island and Fashion Island adjacent, camping in a parking lot...we love it!

Driving across the highway to get to the beach kind of got to me.  At Newport Dunes swimming is just steps away--

They don't call it the Ritz for nothing!  $60 to 130+ per night.  Come on Dee...this time we won't have a monsoon I'm sure of it (ummm...maybe I'm sure of it. We are ScCampers afterall!)

Hey, so is the ocean!  They set up all kinds of water play equipment (rock wall, rocking toys, etc.) and the kids have a blast...for a small fee, of course.
