Are there any differences between Coachman and Viking? Would you recommend either one? Looking at the Coachman Clipper 896E.

Thanks!

Viking is Coachmen's pop up division. Both the Clipper and the Viking are made on the same assembly line and the only difference are the tenting and fabric colors and the name on the  outside.

Forest River's pop up factory makes the Flagstaff & Rockwood on the same line and the same owner also owns Palomino - Warren Buffet.

The Bontrager family owns Jayco & Starcraft but they don't share factories.

Thanks. They seem to have the lowest prices in the industry. I am looking for a basic model with a 8' box to store in my garage. I have two boys and we currently tent camp.

Do you know anything about the electric lift system?

Welcome to the forum.  Keep looking and you will find the perfect pup for you and your family.

Have you looked at the Fleetwood Element series?  They are a 7 foot box and very much like a tent on wheels.

As for the electric lift system, if you are looking at the 8' models, an electric lift is overkill.  Our 12' box is not that tough to crank up.

A good quality powerful cordless drill with the right adapter is a good option as a electrical lift systems. You may not need one, these things are easy to crank up. I have a 12 foot roof and it's fairly easy.

You shouldn't really need an electric lift system with 2 boys and an 8 foot pop up. However, a Socket Jenie and a cordless hand drill will pop your top with ease.
