springer02Between us all, we collect postcards, shot glasses, and pins (I m sure I missed someone s collection here).  I met a lady in a giftstore who gave us a really good idea.  She said she would always mail her postcards home after she bought them.  That way they would have the date of the vacation on them for future reference.  It s also fun to have the kids write about what they ve done on that particular day before they mail their own postcard home - great way to keep memories!

 Stray cats, Steve?  LOL!  [:D]

springer02Rocks, t-shirts and many, many, many digital pictures. [:)]

springer02I used to like to collect all different kinds of model horses and horse figurines when I was little.  I still have many of the model horses as a kid, but have long since stopped collecting them.  I have my real horse now that needs my spare change more than my collection.  I have one special model horse that my brother bought for me when I was about 8 years old.  We were at a flea market and he spend the last $2 of his allowance to buy it for me.  I asked him why he bought it for me and he simply said " because you wanted it.......and your my sister and I love you."   That is one model horse I will never part with.  Just looking at it now brings tears to my eyes.

As far as camping goes, I have often thought of buying a T-shirt at many of the campgrounds that I go to (some of them are really neat).  I have yet to buy one, but I think once I do, I will start this tradition with myself to collect and wear T-shirts from many of the places I have visited.  Maybe thats the problem.  I figure if I buy one T-shirt from one place, I will have to buy several from other places as well.

springer02Here s another great idea for those of you that collect T-shirts from your favorite campgrounds.  I saw this one day on HGTV - When your T-shirt is falling apart and frayed around the collar etc and ready for the trash heap - cut out the Campground design from the T-shirt - try to get good size squares of it and you can later sew these onto a Camping Quilt!!!
A mom collected her son s favorite T-shirts that he wore out and when he went away to college she made a T-shirt Quilt for him with them!
Neat idea eh?  Might even last a Lifetime too!!

 Not the right answer?
Sometimes spoons, most of the time just pictures, as our favorites places are in the wild watching and photographing all the wonderful sights in this Creation! (Except Mosquitoes and Black Flies!)
