OK, I'm officially giving up on this trip unless there is a weather miracle.  They're calling for 8 or more inches of snow here.  I do not care about losing my deposit anymore.  Someone above does not want me to go camping at Pine Grove, and I'm not going to fight the powers above.  I will take the hint.

Well I miss you guys, and will see you at the latest in April at Hickory Run...  Or maybe someone else can pick a place/date before that, because the ones I pick obviously are not working out weather-wise.

Shebantam: I hate to break the news but techincally, you are not south of the mason dixon. It runs along the southern border of pa, then drops down the western side of delaware only to run along the bottom of del.

Rick: We are going camping next weekend in Lancaster if you or anyone are interested in another gathering.

All: Safe travels.

This was the best picture I could find real quick.

Gee Scott and I was told that Marker on 202 not too far from I 95 was a mason-Dixon marker...you just burst my bubble...

On a happier note, I put my minivan in Cottman Transmission today and THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION!!!!!!  it is my o-2 sensor giving me fits.  So Cottman is going to put a Tranny Cooler in it, beings there is little to no room, that is going to be sort of expensive, but NOT like rebuilding the tranny...Both the cooler and the rebuild would have ball park on the high end cost me about $2500...I am getting away with much much less AND there is no reason they can see why the Windstar cannot tow the Cabin A, they agree NOT the Bantam...And NOT this weekend!!!!

Hi Tracy
Sure looks like we're not coming, either. Sleet just started coming down,
not that I care to much what it does now,but friday night when everybody here in Jersey goes west on rt 80, it will be a madhouse with the bad weather we're suppose to get.But my biggest problem is my van.It was all ready to go camping, but I did drive it to work yesterday and I had no heat, blowing only cold air.I dropped it of at the shop so they can try to have it ready for friday. When I called them today, they said everything is ok,can't find anything wrong!
Well,I just picked it up and everthing was ok,for about 5 minutes!
Same problem, ice cold air. So,there is no way I'm driving in a snow storm without a heater.
I am sorry to leave you out there in the cold by yourself (John is with you, right) but unless my/your life depends on me getting there,I think I'm staying put. Please be careful and keep an eye on the weather.Let
me know what you're up to and call me if you need anything!

Andy I understand.  Jon isn't here.  Tell Helga I said HI.  We had a Ford van that did the same thing.  No fun.  Take care.  Are you camping in April at Hickory Run?

I have a doctor's appointment near home tomorrow. So I may not be here when they get here. My camper will be here and I plan to come back. At home they are calling for more snow. Hope you can make it.:)

PS I think I am the only PU in the campground.:D

So far the weather is OK.  Just rain overnight with a little sleet.:)

SheBantam

We are expecting UP TO (you know how that goes with the weather man) 2" of a wintry mix by morning. I do not see me hitting the roads tomorrow for lunch AND the one that needed the "fix" got KOed due to weather...
If we do not get anything big (as in little to no ice accumulations) and I 81 is good, I might change my mind. I can come the log way and stay on expressways from 1/4 mile from my house to the Pine Grove exit...

I'd even due lunch/dinner at the campground to save the extra run on the back roads...OR have a fire and I'll bring the dogs to roast...

Cheryl

Hey Tracey,
Good luck at the doctor's. We have only had some rain over night and DH is still determined to make it to the campground.
Paula (and Dee) - I have packed some Keilbalsa links and we will roast one for you!!
Barring any major accumulations we should be there around 6 p.m.
Keep the fire burning!

I have some nice dry oak to burn.  I didn't unload it so that it stays dry.  See you this evening.:)

Hey all!

The cars are snow covered and there is a lot of black ice on the roads.  My scanner is going nuts with car crashes.  While I wish I was there with you guys, I am glad I am gonna sit this one out.  Everyone please be safe!
