Who Wants To Give Lake Castias Another Whirl?

I tried to make reservations today but was told that I have to make reservations for the 8/24 weekend on Monday.  I asked about the weekend of 8/18 and all that was available in Fox was 1-Exec and a bunch of deluxe.  I know most people want sewer so I will be on the phone at 8 AM and try and get reservations.

at this point ..making reservations for ANYTIME in Aug. is out. not only does DH's twin come out for 2 weeks, But Dan spoke with his daughter today and they are thinking of coming down in August and also they are going to throw a party for the baby in Aug and want all of us to fly up so until I talk to her and figure out what's going on I'm not committing to anything in Aug.

I am taking the fact that reservations in Aug have been difficult as a sgn I shouldn't be making any plans


BTW Kim I think everyone would be fine over there w/o sewer, the bathrooms in that section are nice so it's not a big deal to use them so the tanks don't get full. IMHO..

Update!

I got 3 reservations in Fox for the nights of 8/24-8/25 leaving 8/26. I got 2 Executive sites not one that originally thought. The site #'s are 31, 33 and 34.

I got 3 reservations in Fox for the nights of 8/24-8/25 leaving 8/26.  The site #'s are 31, 33 and 34.  We would like to take 34 (executive) because of the lake on the deluxe side.  I'm afraid Joshy might be curious and fall in (hense is why he's nicknamed "Curious George".  The cost for the deluxe sites are $87.50.

Sue:  I called Lake Castias this afternoon and they are now completely booked.  We can check a couple days before our camping trip to see if there are any cancellations.  There is a 72 hour cancellation policy.  Also, if any of the sites I reserved comes open, I'll let you know.

Kim if you look at google earth. they say the lake is there behind you but it's WAY behind you. You could call the campground and ask about the water levels

When I made the reservations  I asked about the lake and they told me that the lake is right there with no fence to separate between camping/lake.  Better to be safe than sorry.
